Student job: Rights Administrator

The student job

The student job is located in an administrative department that works with intellectual property rights for a broad client base of both industrial companies and other advisory firms. You report to the daily manager of the department and become part of a team of around 11 colleagues. Fundamentally, the job is about keeping track of the renewal of clients' patent and trademark rights.

What makes the role special is the combination of fixed structure and real client contact. You work from an established deadline system, but must adapt your communication to each individual client - from the individual Danish inventor to the large international firm. Over time you will also gain access to broader tasks, such as follow-up on cases without a fixed distribution of responsibilities and help to systematize the department's other client correspondence.

It is a role with a high learning level within a legal field, where you build concrete experience month by month and you don't need to have a legal background.

Responsibilities

• Send notices to clients about payment deadlines for renewal of patent and trademark rights
• Follow up on incoming instructions from clients
• Make renewal payments in the case management system
• Invoicing
• Case follow-ups
• Contribute to systematizing the ongoing client correspondence
• Ad-hoc administration and support to your colleagues

The company

Our partner is an administration company within intellectual property rights and part of an established Danish patent consultancy with headquarters in the heart of Copenhagen. The company serves a broad client base, including industrial companies with their own patent professionals and other advisory firms, in Denmark and internationally.

You will become part of a team of around 11 colleagues, working closely together to keep track of clients' rights. Here you get a solid starting point for a career in intellectual property and administration, with opportunities to develop from concrete operational tasks to broader responsibilities over time.
