About the job

Do you want a student job where you get to find the stories yourself, interview specialists and translate their knowledge into content that actually gets read?

At Guardian IP Consulting we are looking for a communications student who wants to help develop our communications and tell stories from the intersection of technology, innovation and business.

You will get close to our specialists and have the opportunity to research, interview, find angles and produce content for, among other things, LinkedIn and our website.

You don’t need to know anything about patents or intellectual property in advance. The most important thing is that you are curious, write well and want to make complex topics interesting and understandable.

A student job with room for your ideas

You will work closely with the company’s marketing responsible partner and will also have ongoing contact with our patent consultants and advisors.

An important part of the job will be to discover the good stories in their work: What is happening in technology and innovation? What challenges do our customers face? And how can specialist knowledge be translated into content that is relevant and interesting for other companies?

You will have great autonomy in the job, and there is room for you to come up with ideas for stories, angles and formats yourself.

You will, among other things, be working with

  • interviews with our patent consultants and advisors
  • idea development and research for stories about technology, innovation, patents and business
  • preparation of content for LinkedIn
  • communication of complex professional material in clear and easy-to-understand language
  • content for the website and news pages
  • simpler graphic tasks and image selection
  • planning and coordination of publications.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are studying at a higher education level – e.g., in communications, journalism, business/economics, humanities or social sciences.

You don’t need to be able to check every box, but we hope that you

  • write clearly and engagingly, understand complex topics and have a sense of what is relevant and interesting to the reader
  • express yourself well in both Danish and English
  • are curious and good at asking questions
  • want to immerse yourself in topics you may not know beforehand
  • can work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
  • are interested in technology, innovation or business.

It is not a requirement that you already know anything about patents or intellectual property. We’ll help you understand it. In return, it is important that you can find the essence of a complex topic and convey it in a way that others want to read.

What you’ll get with us

We offer a flexible student job of about 5-8 hours per week, scheduled with regard to your studies.

You will also get

  • a real opportunity to influence Guardian's communications
  • great autonomy and room for your own ideas
  • practical experience with interviews and journalistic research
  • experience with subject matter communication and B2B communication
  • opportunity to work with both SoMe and website content
  • close collaboration with experienced advisors and specialists
  • insight into companies, technology and innovation.

You will, as a starting point, work from our office in DTU Science Park in Kgs. Lyngby , where you will have the opportunity to get to know both colleagues and the professional areas well.
