Student Assistant for Detention Centers in East Jutland

Our core mission is to uphold punishment and prevent crime through resocializing interventions for and with the detainees.

Your tasks

Inmates in Denmark's prisons are entitled to dental treatment and check-ups, and we need a colleague to help with case handling. Your tasks will mainly consist of;

• Handling of requests for dental treatment from the inmates
• Case processing of applications for the allocation of funds for dental treatment
• Preparation of decisions on dental treatment
• Other administrative ad hoc tasks

The position entails a certain flexibility, where you can help plan your own workday.

About you

Your educational background is not decisive, but we place emphasis on the following;

• You have an interest in and a desire for administrative tasks and case processing
• You can express yourself clearly and professionally both orally and in writing
• You work in a structured and systematic way and thrive when there can be many tasks ongoing at the same time
• You want to work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
• You are able to work and complete tasks within given deadlines and established frameworks

Salary and employment terms

Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The State Sector, as well as §35 in the collective agreement for office clerks, technicians and IT employees (HK), and any local agreements entered into hereunder.

• The position is 15-20 hours per week with start on 1 January 2026.
• It is a condition for employment that during the interview you consent to Danmarks Fængsler obtaining and assessing information about you in the Central Criminal Register.
