About the job

Would you like to use your nursing expertise in a strong community?

We are seeking a nurse for a permanent position of 37 hours with start on February 1, 2027 or by agreement. The position includes mixed shifts. We primarily work in two-shift rotations, and you have a great influence on your work schedule. You will be part of a team with a fixed rotation every 3rd weekend.

Who are we?

  • A surgical inpatient unit with an exciting and varied daily life, where no day is the same.
  • Engaged and competent colleagues who are passionate about the specialty and about delivering the best nursing care to patients and relatives.
  • A helpful community where we prioritize the social aspect and have fun together.
  • A curious and solution-oriented culture with a focus on quality, development and evidence-based nursing.
  • Good development opportunities for both new and experienced colleagues, including professional sparring forums, competence development and courses.

We are a surgical inpatient unit specializing in women's health and gastrointestinal diseases. We have 28 beds with single rooms for the patients and good physical facilities for the staff.

The staff group currently consists of 37 nurses and 6 social- and health care assistants.

We receive patients with diseases of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract as well as women’s health conditions. Patients come for both planned operations and via the emergency department, intensive care unit, other hospitals and our outpatient clinic. The courses range from short, accelerated hospitalizations to longer, complex pathways.

Who are you?

We are looking for a nurse who

  • Has an interest in surgical nursing, including postoperative care, pain management, observation and early detection of complications.

  • Has a focus on patient and relative involvement and can communicate calmly and clearly.
  • Has a positive approach to new challenges and is curious to learn new things.
  • Wants and is willing to develop professionally and personally and is open to feedback and professional sparring.
  • Is flexible and able to maintain an overview in a busy and changing daily life.
  • Contributes actively to a safe, respectful and humorous working environment and wants to be part of the social community.

What do we offer you?

  • A thorough onboarding process, where you are assigned one to two mentors.
  • An induction program tailored to your competencies and learning needs, so you get a safe and structured start.
  • A unit with high professionalism, focus on patient safety and the opportunity to influence the development of nursing.
  • Opportunity to shape your duty roster and have influence over the scheduling of your shifts.
