About the job

Do you want to make a real difference for people who want to change their lives?

Do you enjoy meeting many different people – young people, families with children, seniors or older people? The common thread is that substances present too great challenges in their lives.

Frederiksberg Municipality's Addiction Center is seeking an engaged nurse for a permanent position of 32 hours per week with start date 01.01.2027 or as soon as possible.

The position is anchored in our health care team, where the primary tasks are to manage the daily operations related to medication delivery in the drug- and alcohol area. You will be an important part of a multidisciplinary social and health care professional environment.

You meet citizens with different challenges and life experiences. Common to them is the desire for change – and here you play a central role in creating safe, professional and motivating frameworks for treatment and development.

Your primary tasks will include, among others

  • Perform health care treatment according to SUL § 142 and SEL § 101/142 in collaboration with the other staff.
  • Participate in treatment conferences.
  • Carry out ambulatory function with daily medication delivery and associated observation/control.
  • Be responsible for the medicine cabinet, including counting, checking and ordering of medicines.
  • Handle medicines from the pharmacy as well as return medicines.
  • Contact person to the pharmacy for changes, orders and missing deliveries.
  • To a lesser extent perform outbound tasks, including accompaniment to examinations and treatments.
  • Carry out clinical measurements and follow-up, including BP, BS, HGB, Hepatitis C.

With us you will have the opportunity to

  • Be in close relation to the citizens and ad hoc conduct individual health conversations
  • Contribute to a holistic effort for citizens with substance misuse problems
  • Become part of a professionally strong team with focus on quality, development and cooperation
  • Participate in development projects across the organization
  • Make your mark on both professional methods and work routines

We imagine that you

  • Are a licensed nurse – preferably with experience in substance misuse treatment, psychiatry or social nursing, but this is not a requirement
  • Meet people with respect, curiosity and professional gravity
  • Have a desire to work recovery-oriented and with the citizen's goals as a compass
  • Would like to know about and work with methods such as MI, for example
  • Thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration and contribute positively to the community
  • Wish to develop both yourself and the professional practice around you

Therefore you should choose us

At Frederiksberg Municipality's Addiction Center you get a workplace with high professionalism and strong values.

We offer, among other things

  • An engaged colleague community with skilled and helpful colleagues
  • Professional sparring, supervision and close managerial support
  • Great influence on the organization of your work
  • Good opportunities for professional development
  • A workplace with a high ceiling, humor and room for different perspectives

Who are we?

Frederiksberg Municipality's Addiction Center consists of three teams with a total of 29 employees. We work from a recovery- and rehabilitative approach, where the citizen's own wishes, resources and goals are the starting point for the treatment.

We believe that the best solutions are created in collaboration, and we cooperate closely with citizens, relatives, municipal colleagues and external partners.

You will become part of a strong multidisciplinary environment where we help each other, share knowledge and elevate tasks together.
