About the job
Do you want to be part of a strong professional community where high specialization, close collaboration and meaningful work go hand in hand?
With us you become part of a department where you every day make a noticeable difference for patients with complex and often critical illness courses. You will encounter a daily life characterized by highly specialized nursing, a high tempo and clinical challenges that require both your professionalism, your overview and your ability to act calmly and safely when it matters.
You now have the opportunity to become part of an engaged team where we rise together, develop our professionalism and support each other in an exciting and diverse everyday life. If you are motivated by responsibility, professional development and the possibility to make a real difference for patients in complex pathways, this may be the position for you.
Start date on 1 January 2027 or by agreement (e.g. 1 December 2026 or 1 February 2027).
About us
An department with regional function in specialist patients. That means we see both patients from our own admission area with varying disease complexity, but also the sickest and most complex specialist patients from other parts of the country. We work closely across disciplines, and have a strong professional and social community.
We receive elective and acute patients
Some things we can plan, but we are also adaptable when we receive patients who are or become acutely ill. This requires that we are sharp about our professional nursing observations and actions, and can share cross-disciplinary responsibility. Therefore we also prioritize developing the individual, groups and the department as a whole.
We have a broad demographic range of patients
Many different reasons can underlie someone becoming a specialist patient with us. Substance abuse, cancer diagnosis, autoimmune disease, etc. Therefore we also have patients admitted for as little as 1 day to several months, patients who are young, growing and older, and patients with very different social backgrounds. This demands our relational competences that span broadly.
We are a department with many opportunities
In Liver, Gastrointestinal and Digestive Diseases we are open to developing work both internally and externally within the department. This means you have the opportunity to contribute to larger or smaller development tasks, be a key person or be responsible for a specialty within different areas, or eventually establish exciting alternative collaborations such as service in Greenland or in connection with the Army if of interest.
We can offer
We work closely across professional groups and prioritize both quality of treatment and support to each other in a busy daily life. Here there is room for professional development, sparring and a strong collegial community, where we lift as a team.
- introduction period tailored with regard to individual needs
- an introduction that includes a combination of close clinical follow-up, internal teaching and ongoing well-being and development conversations
- a colleague group that supports, laughs and shares their knowledge
- work with the possibility of rethinking and for actively participating in the development of nursing in the ward
- a department that values and prioritizes social activities in the department
- a work community where time is allocated to keep us professionally proficient through specialization and project hours for development and implementation, interdisciplinary simulation and scheduled weekly teaching
- work in a nursing organization that provides security and good opportunities for professional sparring in daily task solutions
- great influence on your own shift schedule in the form of a wish schedule (it is expected to have weekend work equivalent to 8-hour shifts every 3rd weekend as on-call. As experience grows, 12-hour shifts every 4th weekend may be desired.)
- We offer time, space, framework and opportunities, but it is expected that one takes responsibility for one’s own learning.
We are looking for a colleague who
- is ready to learn, be challenged and develop professionally as well as personally
- is motivated by working in a varied everyday life, where one actively observes and prioritizes
- willing to contribute positively to the work environment
- can see opportunities and solutions.
