About the job

About the job

Do you thrive with short, exciting and rehabilitative citizen journeys, where you are often among the first to meet the citizen after discharge? Then it may be you we are looking for for an exciting maternity leave position in our health unit.

In the Health Unit Tranbjerg-Beder we are a strong multidisciplinary community consisting of 10 nurses, 2 resource coordinators, 3 occupational therapists, 7 physiotherapists, 10 SOSU helpers and 1 SOSU assistant. Together we create cohesive, rehabilitative and meaningful citizen journeys during daytime hours. Day shift is organized into two smaller teams based in Beder and Tranbjerg.

In addition we have a fixed evening shift team consisting of 6 SOSU helpers and 4 SOSU assistants as well as a skilled corps of substitutes. Evening shifts report to Tranbjerg and also handle tasks in Viby and Højbjerg.

Our joint task is to bring each other's professionalities into play, so that we together deliver high quality and high citizen satisfaction. We assess, treat and support citizens in regaining their independence after, for example, illness or hospitalization. Collaboration and professional sparring are a natural part of daily life, and we meet both at joint staff meetings, mono-disciplinary meetings and fixed multidisciplinary conferences with focus on citizen journeys, triage and professional development.

We are looking for a nurse who thrives in a daily life characterized by variation, complex pathways and coordination across sectors and professions. You are curious about people and motivated to find solutions that help the citizen to the greatest possible independence and quality of life.

With us no day is the same. That is why we prioritize a strong collegial community and close sparring. We help each other, share knowledge and maintain ongoing contact during the day, so everyone is updated on the shared efforts. At the same time we emphasize a good working environment, where there is room for both professionalism, laughter and social activities.

As a nurse you will be responsible for the progression of a number of citizen journeys, where you coordinate the effort with both the interdisciplinary team and external partners. You will also work with visitation to care, practical help and assistive devices.

In all tasks we work rehabilitatively with basis in the citizen's own goals, resources and wishes. We are proud that more than 70% of our citizens become completely or partly self-sufficient after a course with us.

You will handle both complex and acute nursing tasks in the citizens' own homes, but there is also the possibility to have work days in one of our four nursing clinics in Tranbjerg, Beder, Kolt and Harlev.

We have attached clinical supervisors and continuously receive nursing students. The clinical supervisors support learning and development across health units, home care and nursing homes in Aarhus South.

The working hours are day shifts from 7:00 or 7:30 to 15:30, and every 4th weekend. On weekends there are always two nurses at work, and you get a fixed weekend partner. Holidays are distributed in the nursing group according to wishes, and the working time is planned via a wish plan.

We prioritize a thorough introduction and a secure start. Therefore you will be attached to a mentor who together with your colleagues ensures that you are continually well equipped for work in the health unit.

We are looking for a committed and professionally strong nurse who thrives in a daily life characterized by variation, responsibility and collaboration. You have a good overview, can prioritize your tasks and can remain calm when the day offers both planned and acute tasks.
