About the job
Region Zealand targets home treatment so more citizens can receive hospital care in their own homes. Therefore, the Prehospital Centre’s Home Treatment is looking for a skilled nurse for the base in Holbæk.
Be part of bringing hospital care home to patients
Do you want to help develop the healthcare system of the future?
In Region Zealand we work purposefully to move more treatment closer to the citizens. An increasing number of patients can receive hospital care in their own homes – with the same high quality and patient safety as at the hospital.
Therefore we are expanding our Mobile Treatment Units (MTU) and we are looking for a dedicated nurse who wants independent and professionally challenging work where you make a real difference for the patients – every single day.
Welcome to your team
You will become part of a well-functioning team with high professionalism, strong collegiality and a shared ambition to create the best patient pathways.
With us, collaboration, helpfulness and trust are a natural part of everyday life. We work independently, but never alone. We prioritize professional sparring, development and a work environment characterized by psychological safety, where we help each other and learn together.
About the Mobile Treatment Units
The Mobile Treatment Units bring hospital treatment home to patients.
We treat patients who need hospital treatment but can be safely admitted in their own homes. As a nurse you work independently with patients in close collaboration with doctors, nurses from the virtual hospital departments and eHospital.
You will have the opportunity to use your full nursing competence and become an important part of developing the pre-hospital task in the patient’s home.
MTU works among other things with
- Accelerated discharges from hospital.
- Prevention of unnecessary hospital admissions through early clinical assessment and treatment.
Your tasks
You will among other things work with
- Clinical assessment and observation of home-admitted patients.
- Acute and preventive assessments to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
- Hospital treatment in the patient’s own home, including intravenous antibiotic treatment (IV AB), IV fluid therapy and other forms of IV treatment.
- Blood sampling and analyses using POCT equipment.
- Preparation of patients for virtual rounds in cooperation with eHospital and the virtual hospital departments.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with hospitals, municipalities, general practitioners and other partners.
We are looking for you, who
- Are a licensed nurse with a minimum of two years of clinical experience – preferably from a hospital.
- Thrive with independent clinical responsibility and complex patient pathways.
- Are motivated by working cross-professionally across sectors.
- Have experience with documentation in the Health Platform (Sundhedsplatformen).
- Work in a structured way and see the value in thorough documentation.
- Meet patients with respect, presence and high professionalism.
- Contribute actively to a strong collegial community.
- Have a category B driving license.
Why you should choose us
With us you get
- Great professional autonomy and responsibility.
- Opportunity to use your full nursing competence.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
- A thorough introduction program.
- Dedicated colleagues with high professional standards.
- A workplace with high patient satisfaction, job satisfaction and a focus on quality.
- Possibility to influence the development of future home treatment.
About the position
Patients are admitted via eHospital or the virtual hospital departments in Region Zealand.
Home treatment is rapidly evolving, and you will be part of an organization where new forms of collaboration between home treatment, virtual hospital departments and the GP out-of-hours service are continually developed. You will therefore have the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of the future close healthcare system.
The position is 37 hours per week or as agreed with employment starting 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Patients can be admitted via eHospital or a virtual hospital department in Region Zealand. Through digital solutions we work with both prevention and treatment so citizens can get the right help in their everyday life. Holbæk Hospital has, as some of the first in the region, established a virtual department. Since this department constitutes a close collaboration with MTU we are seeking applicants with ties to the Holbæk area
You will be employed in the Prehospital Centre with base in Holbæk. From here you drive out to patients across Region Zealand in MTU service vehicles.
We work every day of the week between 06:00 and 24:00 with day and evening shifts. Weekend shifts are generally every third weekend or every second weekend if desired.
Would you like to join?
Send your application and relevant attachments no later than November 23, 2026 .
We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and look forward to hearing from you.
If you have questions about the position, you are very welcome to contact acting section leader Sandie Rosenstrøm at [email protected].
You will be employed as a nurse, and the appointment is in accordance with the applicable agreement for the Health Cartel non-management staff (32.17.1).
Become part of something bigger
The Prehospital Centre embraces all regional employees who work in the prehospital area. This includes Transport Service; AMK emergency call center; Region Zealand Ambulance; Quality, Education and Emergency Preparedness; Administration; Home Treatment; Logistics and Planning; GP out-of-hours; Vaccination efforts and the prehospital research unit.
When you work in the Prehospital Centre, you become part of the team behind the acute and prehospital efforts in Region Zealand. Here dispatchers, planners, researchers, clinicians and administrative staff work side by side to ensure help reaches the recipient.
Some sit at phones, others develop solutions, plan routes or research better treatment. Common is that we work to ensure that citizens receive fast, safe and professional help – whether it is emergency response, GP out-of-hours, transport, home treatment, education or new ways of doing things.
You will have a daily life where professional disciplines meet and where your knowledge is used. With responsibility, sparring and colleagues who help each other towards the goal. And a work life where you can feel that what you do makes a difference for people you might never meet.
If you want to work somewhere where collaboration is essential, development happens in the middle of operations, and the task always starts with the citizen, then there is room for you with us.
