Nurse for the Health and Care Placements in Svendborg Do you want to use your nursing expertise in a strong interdisciplinary community and help shape a new regional health service close to citizens' lives and daily life?

At the Health and Care Placements you will meet people who, for a period, need health care treatment, nursing and rehabilitation.

We are a department under development, and you will therefore have plenty of opportunity to make your mark on workflows, professionalism and collaboration in the department.

You will be part of something new

Citizen-Centered Health is a new department at Odense University Hospital, which will strengthen the local health services and bring high-quality treatment, care and rehabilitation health services closer to citizens' daily lives.

From 1 January 2027, Citizen-Centered Health will take over the Health and Care Placements in Svendborg.

Here, a service with initially 16 places is established. The goal is to help the citizen return to everyday life as best as possible through dignified, cohesive and professionally strong pathways.

Your role as a nurse

You will become part of an interdisciplinary workplace with nurses, social and health care assistants and aides, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and the doctors attached to the Health and Care Placements.

As a nurse you will have a varied daily life with both independent responsibility, coordinating tasks and close professional sparring.

Your tasks

You will, among other things, come to

  • conduct nursing assessments, evaluations and follow-up in citizen pathways
  • observe, assess and respond to changes in the citizen's health status
  • perform instrumental nursing care including IV treatment
  • administer medicines, ensure correct medication management and follow up on medical treatment
  • holistic care closely to the core task
  • create security and coherence for the citizen and relatives – and ensure good communication
  • coordinate and collaborate with both internal and external partners about the citizen's overall course
  • actively contribute to professional development, quality and patient safety
  • help develop relevant workflows and nursing standards in the new organization.

To succeed in the position it is essential that you thrive with both assessment and action on acutely arising conditions as well as handling complex nursing in longer courses with a rehabilitative focus.

We imagine that you

are a trained nurse and motivated to work with citizens who need both clinical insight, rehabilitative thinking and close coordination.

We place emphasis on you

  • are curious and want to develop yourself
  • work independently and at the same time thrive in a cross-disciplinary work community
  • meet citizens and relatives with respect, calm and presence
  • see rehabilitation as a natural part of care and treatment
  • contribute constructively to collaboration and the work community
  • thrive in an organization under development where not all workflows are predetermined.

With us you get

  • opportunity to use and develop your nursing competencies
  • close professional sparring across disciplines
  • a daily focus on quality, development and patient safety
  • an individually tailored onboarding program
  • a workplace where we help each other and actively use each other’s different professionalities.
