We have many nurses on maternity leave and therefore we are looking for you.

We are seeking a nurse in a permanent position for ward M5, Aalborg University Hospital, Thisted – Neurorehabilitation and palliative care.

The position is 37 hours per week in mixed shifts – part-time is a possibility. The positions are to be filled as soon as possible or by agreement. You should expect a weekend shift every 3 weeks.

The ward has a total of 16 beds, of which four beds are dedicated to palliation and 11 to neurorehabilitation. In addition, we have room for a medical patient.

We work with a rehabilitative approach in our nursing care and our nursing professional framework is Fundamentals of Care.

We prioritize professional development and professional sparring, and we train doctors, nurses and social and healthcare assistants in the ward.

The ward is divided into two teams

Nurse in the palliation ward in M5

Are you passionate about palliation and working with seriously ill patients?

The pallative ward – Team 2 is for incurably ill patients in need of a palliative intervention. Patients are admitted in very different phases of their journey, which is why the ward contains many different aspects, ranging from treatment to care for the dying person. The focus of the ward is treatment and symptom relief, so it becomes possible for the patient and their relatives to live the life that remains, with regard to the individual understanding of quality of life.

The ward has a close collaboration with our Outreach Team for Palliative Care, consisting of a doctor, nurses, physiotherapist, social worker, priest and psychologist.

Nurse in neurorehabilitation in M5

Would you like to be part of neurorehabilitation in Thisted, where we value interdisciplinary collaboration and where everyone contributes to the good patient journey?

In neurorehabilitation – Team 1 we receive patients for neurorehabilitation at the main functional level, characterized by patients with brain injury of limited (mild to moderate) complexity.

You will become part of an interdisciplinary team that includes doctors, nurses, social and healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapist, social worker, neuropsychologist and dietitian.

The ward participates in a close collaboration with the surrounding municipalities, focusing on creating good patient pathways and nursing care with high professional standards and quality for patients and relatives.

Common to the two teams are helpfulness, positivity and humor. The entire staff aims to develop and learn together in order to make the most of our potential.

At Aalborg University Hospital it has been decided that nurses and social and health care assistants are employed at the department level rather than the ward level. The intention with this is among other things to support quality, continuity and coherence in patient pathways within the specialties as well as to increase and strengthen nursing professional competencies within the specialty.

Your primary place of employment will be M5, but you may also be required to serve in other wards under the department. You will be informed more about this at the employment interview.

For now you will be employed in rotating shifts. The placement of working hours can be changed with four weeks' notice, in accordance with the contractual notice for changes to shift schedules.
