Tryghånd ApS is seeking a dedicated n nurse or social- and health care assistant for our specialized supported housing service for young people with substantially impaired mental functioning.

About Tryghånd ApS

Tryghånd Aps provides specialized pedagogical support to young people with substantially impaired mental functioning who are placed outside the home. Our pedagogical work is based on an affirming, structured, and individually tailored approach, where the young person's well-being, development, and self-determination are central.

We have applied to Socialtilsyn Midt for approval of the service as a residence and are therefore facing an upcoming approval process.

Our approach in meeting the young people is that we never refuse without guidance. This means that in, for example, conflict situations where a young person may feel frustrated or exhibit inappropriate behavior, we give the young person an alternative instruction for their behavior, rather than a rejection that could make the young person feel wronged.

We work with high professionalism. For us, that means we prioritize daily sparring and close collaboration with management, colleagues, and relatives. We often use internal and external supervision, have exciting training days, and good individual opportunities for continuing and postgraduate education.

Currently, many of our employees complete KRAP courses and conflict management courses.

We deliver pedagogical support around the clock. You will therefore be part of a work schedule with rotating day, evening, and weekend shifts. Night shifts may occur depending on need and agreement.

Your tasks

As SSA/Nurse with us you will among other things

• Carry out health care tasks such as medication management, observations, documentation, and collaboration with the nurse.
• Share responsibility for training of new staff and ensure follow-up in the medication instruction.
• Be responsible for medications, including administering and dispensing medications and updating FMK.
• Coordinate with doctors, e.g., psychiatrist and GP.
• Be responsible for hygiene, including training staff in basic hygiene according to current instructions.
• In consultation with the nurse update FSIII.
• Train staff to use FSIII in Sensum and ensure correct documentation.
• Support the young people in daily life based on functioning level and action plans.
• Create structure, predictability and security for the young people.
• Actively participate in the pedagogical work and participate in activities.
• Work according to KRAP and LA2 in pedagogical documentation.
• Ensure coherent citizen pathways in collaboration with the nurse, pedagogues and external actors.
• Contribute to a safe, proper, and humorous working environment.
• Participate in professional sparring and supervision.

We are looking for you who

• Are educated nurse or social- and health care assistant
• Have experience with citizens with developmental disabilities, psychiatry, or outwardly acting behavior (not a requirement – but an advantage)
• Can work both health-care and pedagogical in a complex daily life
• Take responsibility and thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration
• Are good at keeping calm and having overview – even in pressure situations
• Contribute to good documentation and professional discussions
• Have humor, presence and a desire to build good relationships
• Have a driving license (category B)

Practical information

• The position is at 37 hours per week
• Start as soon as possible
• We offer day, evening, and night shifts
