Teacher sought for special education in the early primary grades at Grauballe School

Grauballe Skole seeks, as of January 1, 2027, a teacher for our special provision in the early years.

About us

Here we work with a combined between-form and a local special class, with full opening hours during the entire 0. – 3. grade school day. The class is called ”Mellemrummet” and is located in the middle of the primary years in a newly renovated room. At the moment there are 3 children attached to the between-form, who receive teaching in both their own class and in ”Mellemrummet”.

There are currently no children referred to the Local Special Class in ”Mellemrummet”, but we expect to have some in the future.

You will have the opportunity here to contribute to further developing our local special class and our between-form for the early years. This takes place in close collaboration with our pedagogical leader Karin Winberg and the other teachers and pedagogues who are attached to between-forms and local special classes.

Grauballe Skole is a 0. – 6. grade school a few kilometres north of Silkeborg. We have 145 students distributed across 8 classes and 2 local special classes. We are located in the middle of the Grauballe suburb with a school district that stretches out into the countryside to the north, east and west. So we are the small school in the local community. But also a school close to Silkeborg’s cultural life and opportunities.

In the coming years, Grauballe Skole will grow steadily and sustainably for both children and adults at the school.

At Grauballe Skole we are particularly focused on working with between-forms, local special classes, mathematics support, Guided Reading and the use of Reading/Writing technology.

We have a well-functioning after-school offering with most children in 0.-3. grade enrolled and many children in 4.-6. grade in our club. Thus the pedagogues are of course part of the school’s teams. Just as the pedagogues are also a part of the school’s everyday life.

We have a strong sense of collegiality with both class teams, phase teams and subject teams, where we engage with new professional literature and jointly develop our knowledge and professionalism. Beneficial for your own practice, but also for the children and parents at Grauballe Skole.

As a new employee you will have a mentor among your colleagues who will guide and help you settle into Grauballe Skole’s daily life.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the local salary formation agreement.

The appointment is for 37 hours, but we can also agree to part-time employment.
