Due to increasing pupil numbers and the expansion of our school provision, we are seeking skilled teachers for Special Education Autism, Låsby School. We are looking for colleagues who want to develop professionally within the autism field and contribute to a strong professional working community.

We are looking for you , who are professionally strong and passionate about making a difference for students with special educational needs.

To supplement our ongoing efforts, we are establishing a new team in our lower and middle school. The team will work with children who are challenged by school attendance. The professional and pedagogical task will focus on relationship-building, meaningful learning activities and close collaboration with families to create participation opportunities at the school.

We expect that you see play, movement and alternative learning spaces as a natural and integrated part of your didactic, professional and pedagogical practice.

You will, as a permanent colleague, engage in an exciting development project where all permanent staff take Autism Pilot training in the first years. You will participate in the training, the implementation and the work of turning the methods and approaches introduced in the training into a natural part of our pedagogical approach and stance.

• Likely have specialized in autism and have a solid toolkit filled with special educational methods and approaches.

• Have experience with and can apply special educational methods such as visual support systems, cognitive tools (e.g., social stories and comic conversations), Low Arousal, TEACCH, etc.

• Are curious, reflective and comfortable asking questions in a constructive way.
• Thrive in a varied daily routine and quickly adapt to new situations.
• Possess both physical and mental calm – and have a good sense of humor.
• Work independently and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Are open to feedback and sparring – and can adjust your practice accordingly.

Special Education Autism has two departments, Dept. Låsby School and Dept. NES, for children with autism spectrum disorders/ASD. Often students have comorbid diagnoses such as ADHD, anxiety and OCD.

Dept. D Låsby School is a special educational provision for students with ASD and attention disorders that require a particularly protected offering and a high degree of individualization.

The positions start on December 1, 2026 and are 37 hours per week.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement, including the local wage formation provisions. In addition to base pay, the salary may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
