Teaching Assistants (TA) Spring 2027

Employment as TA requires you to be academically qualified for the courses you apply for. You should have completed as a minimum the first year of a relevant education at a university or equivalent when employment starts. You are also not allowed to be a student on the course you are applying for. We welcome applications from both active students and graduates.

TA positions are available on these courses and are subject to change (course cancellation or similar).

Job and task description

The employment period is from 1 January - 31 May for Spring 2027 courses.

For semester-long courses, TAs can be expected to work approximately 3-10 hours a week during the employment period depending on which course the TA is assigned to.

TAs assist the course teaching team with a number of tasks, including being present at exercises for Q&A, help and instructions to students. The tasks of the TA will depend on the preferences of the Course Manager. Please read more about the role on the specific courses here .

Salary and Holiday bonus

Students are employed and paid in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s Circular of 08 January 2025 “Cirkulære om overenskomst for studenterundervisere ved universiteter mv." The salary is based on an hourly rate of DKK 259.38 per hour at August 2026 level.

Graduates with a master's degree are employed and paid in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s Circular of 16 March 2022 "Cirkulære om aftale om eksterne lektorer og undervisningsassistenter ved universiteter m.fl. under Uddannelses- og forskningsministeriet."

The salary is based on an hourly rate of DKK 288.95 per hour at August 2026 level.

For example, you can select 3 courses (total of 30 ECTS), but are only interested in being employed for 15 ECTS, either as a single 15 ECTS course or two 7.5 ECTS courses.

• Use your ITU email address if you are enrolled as a student at ITU.
• Type your CPR number as 10 digits without the hyphen.
• You MUST enclose all your personal documents in order to be considered for the position as TA, regardless of whether you are a student at ITU or if you previously have been employed as a teaching assistant at ITU.
