Technical Designer / GIS Assistant for Pipeline Registry

Do you want to help secure a strong and up-to-date data foundation for future utility projects on Lolland? Do you have experience with pipeline registration and quality assurance of pipeline and civil engineering data, and do you thrive on collaborating closely with project managers and technical specialists? Then you may be the one we are looking for.

At Lolland Forsyning you will have an important role in ensuring up-to-date pipeline data, secure registration and well-documented project materials. You will become a professional counterpart with broad contact with colleagues across the organization as well as external advisers, contractors and municipal authorities.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for registering, maintaining and quality assuring pipeline data across our supply areas and projects. Your work helps ensure that both projects and operations tasks are based on a correct, consistent and up-to-date data foundation.

Your main tasks will include, among others, to

• register, process and update pipeline and asset data in our pipeline registration program
• quality assure pipeline data and ensure correct and consistent registrations
• prepare maps, thematic maps, pipeline plans and other GIS-based project material
• support project managers, operations and responsible specialists with GIS analyses, data extracts and technical sparring
• participate in project meetings and technical clarifications as needed
• make GIS data and map material ready for authority applications, design and documentation
• contribute to common standards, workflows and data models in the utilities sector
• handle LER responses.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant education or have otherwise built up a good understanding of the field. You have practical experience with pipeline registration systems and handling of technical data.

You work thoroughly and structurally and have an eye for data quality, precision and documentation. At the same time you can translate geographical and technical data into clear maps, analyses and usable project material. You thrive on supporting several projects and collaborating with different professional backgrounds.

You are collaborative and curious about data-driven solutions, take responsibility for your deliverables and follow up on agreements. You contribute constructively to developing workflows, data quality and documentation and communicate clearly and professionally in Danish, both in writing and verbally. If you also have knowledge of the utilities sector, pipeline systems, wastewater or other technical civil engineering projects, that is an advantage.
