At the health and care placements you will meet citizens who need more time, care, treatment and rehabilitation before they are ready to move on.

The citizens may have complex somatic and medical issues and multiple simultaneous diseases. Your clinical assessment, professionalism and ability to see the whole person will therefore be decisive.

You will have a daily life where you work independently and closely with other professional groups around the citizen.

The position is full-time, in rotating shifts and with start as soon as possible.

Your tasks

As a nurse you will become a central part of the citizen's pathway. You will among other things:

• provide holistic nursing
• observe, assess, treat and monitor the citizen's condition
• identify changes in the citizen's health and act on them
• collaborate with doctors, health professionals and relatives
• work closely with social- and health-care assistants, physiotherapists and occupational therapists
• create coherence in the citizen's pathway
• contribute to development and implementation of new workflows.

As a result of the Health Reform, Varde Municipality's 24-hour rehabilitation will be transferred to the regions

1 January 2027 .

At Esbjerg and Grindsted Hospitals, the new clinical department Citizen-Centered Health is under construction. The department will, among other things, house health and care placements and aims to create a closer, more coherent and equitable health system.

You will be employed at Varde Municipality's 24-hour rehabilitation until 1 January 2027, after which your employment will transfer to the region.

That means you have the opportunity to be involved from the very start and shape the new department.

Your starting point

Until 1 January 2027 you will be part of Varde Municipality's 24-hour rehabilitation , which currently has 20 rehabilitative placements.

Here we primarily receive citizens from the hospital for programs that can last from one week to several months. The citizens have different somatic and medical issues and need rehabilitation to regain daily functioning and achieve a meaningful everyday life.
