About the job

The mink case is quite special. Everyone has heard or read about it. Many have an opinion about it. In the Part Team we work with it. The mink breeders must be compensated. It is a large and important societal task. It is a task where we do many things for the first time, so solutions must be invented as needed – will you join?

About the position

The Part Team in the Building Agency represents the state, and participates in the compensation and appraisal commissions' valuation of the mink industry. We are seeking a colleague to become part of the team that prepares party submissions and participates in site inspections of companies. The position is temporary until June 2029.

You will face breeders, lawyers, advisors and appraisal commissions, which consist of judges and subject-matter experts. There are a lot of money at stake and strong emotions involved from the mink breeders. You must balance standing firm on what is professionally correct with the very special situation the breeders are in. You will have the opportunity to translate your knowledge of public administration and case processing into practice.

Your tasks will mainly consist of, that

  • with thoroughness and a quality-conscious approach you are responsible for case preparation and review of drafts for compensation determination
  • you have a concrete and analytical approach when you prepare party submissions, which are sent to the appraisal commissions and the other parties in the case
  • you participate in site inspections and subsequent appraisal process meetings across the country
  • you assess whether cases can be concluded with settlements with a view to the law and the overall line
  • you assess whether decisions should be appealed
  • you help with continuous improvements of our case procedures and build knowledge about the work

About you

You want to be part of a team that is in constant change and continually must find answers to things we do not yet know.

We would like you to have a relevant academic education with competencies in administrative law and complex case processing. For example, you may have a social sciences or legal background. You can be employed and want to try something else for a period. Perhaps you are newly graduated, or have experience from another public administration. It is an advantage if you have a category B driving license.

We also emphasize that you

  • have backbone, and are ready to present the state's viewpoints before the Compensation and Appraisal Commission.
  • have experience with tasks involving many stakeholders and thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration, also across authorities.
  • are eager to learn and contribute willingly to the team with what you know.
  • can argue sharply, both in writing and verbally.
  • thrive in a daily life with many deadlines and take pride in meeting them.

About the team

You will have a challenging workday with an informal atmosphere and engaged colleagues. We can promise you will gain a great experience, and that working with mink compensation is both educational and fascinating.

The Part Team mainly consists of ACs with diverse educational backgrounds. The unit is led by a center chief and is located in the Center Staff in the Building Agency.

We uphold a high professional standard. Cross-disciplinary collaboration and inclusion are essential for our success, and we focus on a motivating and good working environment.

We currently have 35 dedicated and capable employees with a broad mix of competencies in the Center Staff in the Building Agency.

Salary and terms of employment

You are employed according to the then applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state. You may, if you wish, condition that you can obtain leave from your current employer, as the position is temporary and essentially limited to June 2029.

You will be placed based on seniority and experience as a junior civil servant at base level or as a specialist or senior consultant in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employee and Competence Authority's salary overview, which you can find here . Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme at 18.07%. Alternatively you will be employed under another relevant collective agreement.

Contact Morten Bækholm Bjerregaard, at email [email protected] or recruitment partner, Sophia van Deurs, at email [email protected] , if you have questions about salary placement. Please note that we only disclose base salary for the position, and any allowances are negotiated in connection with a concrete salary offer.

The Building Agency is a directorate under the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Transport and your area of employment will be the ministry with its associated agencies. Your workplace will be at Carsten Niebuhrs Gade 43, 1577 Copenhagen V or Thomas Helsteds Vej 9, 8660 Skanderborg depending on the candidate. We offer the possibility of remote work when it suits the tasks. In the office we work activity-based with no fixed desks. You can read more here .

Application, contact and next steps

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the center chief Carsten Engedal at phone 41701351 or the professional coordinator Christopher Romdal-Bennett at phone 72276691.

Send your application, CV and diplomas no later than 12 November 2026 , and we will review your application and CV. We expect to hold interviews as far as possible on an ongoing basis and otherwise in week 47 and week 48. We will assess whether another round of interviews will be held as well.
