About the job

Are you passionate about helping sick-listed citizens move toward work through an early, employer-oriented and individually tailored effort?

Albertslund is a green municipality with big ambitions. We are proud of our municipality, and we take care in our tasks and efforts for the citizens, associations and businesses. We are one municipality and one organization. We have dedicated and talented employees and a collaborative culture that crosses across areas and levels. This makes Albertslund Municipality a good place to work.

Right now we are seeking two experienced colleagues who have solid professional insight into the sickness benefit area, who can make qualified assessments of incapacity for work and at the same time support the citizen's return to the labor market through a targeted employer-oriented effort. You must be able to see opportunities for the individual citizen, even when a return to the previous job is not realistic, and actively support the path toward new employment or other attachment to the labor market.

The position also entails that you will help plan and develop a new project in collaboration with Carelink and the Social Capital Fund. The municipal council has approved the investment project, which is expected to start on January 1, 2027.

We are looking for two job consultants who

  • Want to work with sickness benefit cases and can create coherence between the authority work, the citizen's situation and the possibilities for returning to the labor market.
  • Can work employer-oriented with sick-listed citizens who do not necessarily have to return to their previous workplace, and support their path toward new job opportunities. This requires that you can assess the citizen's resources, work capacity and employability.
  • Can take on a central role in planning the new project in collaboration with Carelink and the Social Capital Fund. You therefore must be eager to contribute with your professional expertise, develop workflows and help design the content and efforts of the project.
  • Contribute to the development of workflows and the planning of the project's efforts ahead of the start on January 1, 2027

Your main tasks will be

  • Independent case handling of sickness benefit cases from the first follow-up to the reassessment point.
  • Conduct professional assessments of citizens' incapacity for work in accordance with the sickness benefit act.
  • Ensure timely follow-up, coordination and documentation in accordance with the Sick Leave Benefit Act.
  • Plan and implement employer-oriented initiatives with a focus on retaining or returning to the labor market.
  • Collaborate with companies, relevant internal and external actors, including doctors, therapists and employers.

We expect that you

  • Have a relevant education, e.g. as a social worker, social mediator or another employment-related background.
  • Have experience with the sickness benefit area and independent case processing.
  • Can navigate relevant legislation and translate it into concrete case processing.
  • Have experience with or strong competencies in a employer-oriented approach.
  • Are skilled at making professional assessments of incapacity for work, and can translate these into concrete plans for the citizen's return to the labor market.
  • Can support citizens who cannot return to their previous job in identifying alternative employment opportunities.
  • Work in a structured manner and have good documentation skills.
  • Have good collaboration skills and can create coherence between different actors' efforts.
  • Are keen to participate in and actively contribute to planning and development of our new project.

We offer

  • An exciting and diverse position with a great deal of independence.
  • A developing workplace with the opportunity to shape the future employment efforts.
  • Skilled and engaged colleagues.
  • A strong professional community with a focus on sparring and development.
  • A workplace where we prioritize collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Opportunity to develop your competencies and to work in an organization that thinks across efforts and target groups.

About us and our organisation

  • In Albertslund Municipality we are developing the future employment efforts as part of the implementation of the employment reform.
  • Team Early Intervention is part of Family, Youth, Employment & Education in Albertslund Municipality.
  • We are organized by interventions and length of unemployment rather than traditional target groups. This means we work flexibly across target groups. As part of Team Early Intervention, you will initially work with sickness benefit cases from 0-26 weeks, where early follow-up and professional assessments are core tasks.
  • You will become part of a department with dedicated colleagues, high professionalism and a culture shaped by collaboration, knowledge sharing and development. We believe the best solutions are created in collaboration, and that employees are the most important driving force in development.

Salary and employment terms and deadlines

  • The workplace is Job Center Albertslund, Bytorvet 25, 2620 Albertslund
  • The positions are permanent 37 hours per week.
  • Salary placement occurs after negotiation between the municipality and the negotiating organization.
  • It is part of Albertslund Municipality's employment policy to promote diversity and equality.
  • It is a condition of your employment in Albertslund Municipality that you have a valid work and residence permit.
  • Albertslund Municipality has smoke-free working hours.
  • A criminal record check will be obtained upon employment.
  • Albertslund Municipality supports fully the full-time effort in accordance with the Tripartite Agreement on Wages and Working Conditions, and the municipality therefore hires predominantly on 37 hours as a general rule.
  • We hold interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when the right candidates are found.
  • Application deadline: 14/11-2026 at 12:00
