Roads and Parks in Vallensbæk Municipality are seeking a skilled and committed tractor mechanic/blacksmith for our workshop with a start date of January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

You will be an important part of our daily operations and will play a central role in ensuring that our machines and equipment function optimally.

Your tasks

Your primary tasks will be service, maintenance and repair of our broad fleet of machines, which includes:

• Tractors and construction machines
• Cars and other vehicles
• Winter equipment
• Garden and park machines
• Other machinery and equipment

In addition you will have tasks within

• Planning and execution of service and maintenance
• Procurement of spare parts, tools and materials for the workshop
• Inventory management and organization of the workshop
• Participation in the purchase and sale of machines
• Optimization of workflows and maintenance routines
• Practical tasks in the field when extra help is needed

You will have the opportunity to influence the daily operation of the workshop and contribute with your experience and ideas.

We expect that you

• Have a relevant professional background as a tractor mechanic, agricultural machinery mechanic, blacksmith or similar
• Have experience with service, troubleshooting and repair of tractors, machines and vehicles
• Can work independently, take responsibility and prioritize your tasks
• Are practically oriented and not afraid to get hands-on
• Have a positive attitude and contribute to good collaboration
• Are flexible and willing to help colleagues when needed
• Have experience with IT at user level
• Have a driving license for at least category B
• Desire to develop your professional competences
• Actively contribute to a good working environment
• Come with ideas and proposals for improvements to the work tasks
• Are prepared to join the municipality's winter service as a mechanic.

Working hours and workplace

The position is 37 hours per week .

The normal start times are

Monday–Thursday: between 06:00–15:00

Friday: between 06:00–11:30

There is the possibility of flexible start times by further agreement.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement and the Ny Løn principles.

A mobile phone is provided for work. Any taxation will be in accordance with applicable rules.
