Educator for the +Group at the Sports Kindergarten Tusenfryd

Are you passionate about making a special difference for children who need extra support in their everyday lives? Are you motivated to work closely with the individual child and create settings where all children experience development, well-being and participation in the community? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for for our +group.

We are seeking an engaged educator for our +group with a start on January 1, 2027

+Group consists of a small group of five children. Here you will have a unique opportunity to work in a learning environment where there is time and space to plan targeted pedagogical interventions that support the individual child’s development, well-being and opportunities to participate.

We work with structure, clarity and predictability in our pedagogical approach. The work takes place both individually and in small groups, where we base it on the individual child’s resources and needs. All children should have the opportunity to participate in relevant and meaningful communities with support from the present adults.

+Group has a close collaboration with the adjacent room. An important part of the work is to bridge the +Group and the general kindergarten group. Together with your colleagues you actively work to develop play communities and participation opportunities across the groups, so that all children feel they are a valuable part of the kindergarten’s community.

In the +Group you become part of a dedicated team where professional reflection, collaboration and presence are highly valued. Together with your colleagues you plan and develop pedagogical interventions based on the children’s resources, needs and potential. You will engage in close collaboration with multidisciplinary partners and parents, who through dialogue, sparring and joint interventions help to support the children’s well-being, development and learning.

Although you are primarily attached to the +Group, you become part of a large and professionally strong kindergarten with dedicated colleagues and a strong professional community.

We are proud to be certified by the Danish Sports Federation, where movement is a natural part of our everyday life and pedagogical foundation. We hop, run, roll, dance and play our way to learning, development and strong relationships.

This approach runs through the whole house, and the +Group is a natural part of the larger communities when we, for example, hold morning fun, running days and joint events. We also have our own hall, which provides the framework for many of our pedagogical sports activities.

Our fantastic indoor and outdoor areas give children rich opportunities to explore the world, challenge themselves and develop their motor skills through play and movement. We often go for walks in the local area or cycle out into the blue, where we together experience new adventures and return home with exciting experiences in our backpacks.

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as an educator or will graduate in January 2027.
• Has experience from the day care sector or a desire for new professional challenges.
• Has knowledge or interest in the special needs area.
• Is present, caring and patient in interacting with the children.
• Dares to bring their own perspectives and professional reflections into play.
• Is focused on developing learning environments with a focus on play, participation and belonging.
• Is flexible and thrives in a daily life where needs and tasks continually evolve.

And most importantly: You believe that children learn best when they are having fun. Really fun. When laughter fills the room, and play is allowed to be the central point of the children’s development, learning and communities.

Tusenfryd is part of Dagtilbudsområde Katrinedal, which consists of seven kindergartens and the day care service. Across the area, we work with shared professional efforts and competence development, including:
