About the job

Would you like to help strengthen the nutrition effort across OUH while maintaining a close link to clinical practice?

We are looking for two nutrition coordinators who have solid knowledge of clinical nutrition and a desire to translate it into good treatment and care in collaboration with colleagues across disciplines and departments.

The two positions have previously been project positions and are now funded as permanent positions. We therefore seek two nutrition coordinators, each 37 hours per week, with start date 1/1/2027.

You will work to ensure continued implementation of 'OUH's Meal and Nutrition Strategy 2024-2027' in collaboration with all departments. You will also work to further develop the strategy so that it at all times ensures that we at OUH collectively ensure a good meal, that the meal provision, education and competence development, organization of the effort, and research in the field are of the highest quality, so that the patient is offered the right nutrition at the right time.

A position with both clinical and cross-cutting tasks

In both positions 18.5 hours per week are allocated to the role as nutrition coordinator with cross-OUH tasks. The remaining 18.5 hours you will handle clinical nutrition tasks in collaboration with colleagues in the department where you are employed.

The combination gives you the opportunity to bring experiences from daily patient work into the development of the nutrition effort – and support that professional knowledge and joint decisions are translated into practice.

The positions are currently based at the Geriatric Department G and one at the Oncology Department R in Odense, where the clinical functions are also carried out. In your appointment as nutrition coordinator you will have a function at both the Svendborg and Odense campuses as well as the upcoming Health and Care placements on Funen.

Your tasks as nutrition coordinator across OUH

You will, in collaboration with the Nutrition Council, the clinical dietitians and the departments' nutrition teams:

  • Communicate professional decisions from the Nutrition Council and support their translation into practice in the departments.
  • Plan basic nutrition education for new employees and nutrition resource persons.
  • Advise nutrition teams in developing, implementing and ensuring the quality of clinical guidelines and instructions for nutrition-related treatment and care.
  • Support improvements of the nutrition effort based on departments' audit results.
  • Promote interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration on nutrition.
  • Develop tools that support good workflows around nutrition, food and meals.
  • Bring experiences, needs and wishes from nutrition teams to the Nutrition Council.
  • Be the link between decision-makers and users in relation to hospital procurement in clinical nutrition and supplies for tube feeding.

Your profile

You are a clinical dietitian, nurse or have another relevant health professional education with special knowledge in clinical nutrition, preferably supplemented with a relevant master's degree.

You have experience from clinical practice and interdisciplinary collaboration in the health service. You are focused on how the nutrition effort can become an integrated part of patients' treatment and care.

We emphasize that you

  • Can work independently and structure and prioritize your tasks.
  • Are good at listening, building relationships and collaborating across professional groups and departments.
  • Can convey professional knowledge clearly and tailor teaching and guidance to the target group.
  • Can support colleagues in translating knowledge and decisions into concrete actions.
  • Contribute actively to common tasks and to the collaboration between the two nutrition coordinators.

We offer

  • A permanent position where you combine clinical work with cross-cutting nutrition-science tasks.
  • Opportunity to shape and further develop the nutrition effort at OUH.
  • A broad collaboration interface with nutrition teams, clinical dietitians, the Nutrition Council and other partners.
  • Close collaboration with the other nutrition coordinator.

Employment and application

The positions are 37 hours per week with start 1/1-2027.

The Region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told basic salary, centrally determined allowances and pension in the agreement for health cartel (agreement 32.17.1) . In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiable allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Workplace: You will be based at OUH – both Odense and Svendborg

Closing date: 11/11-2026

Expected interview date: 19/11-2026

If you have questions, you are welcome to contact Chief Nurse Trine B. Zachariassen (Dept. R) at 2148 3780 or Chief Nurse Jette Weinsien (Dept. G) at 2924 9394.
