About the job

Do you want to help provide early and easily accessible treatment for children and young people in Roskilde Municipality? We are expanding our easily accessible offers and are therefore looking for two psychologist-therapists.

Are you a psychologist or do you have another basic education with additional training in psychological treatment theory and methods? Do you have an interest in, and preferably experience with, the easily accessible treatment offerings and the Strengthened Cross-Sectoral Initiative for Children and Young People’s Mental Health (STIME)?

Then you might be the psychologist-therapist we are looking for.

Who are we? Familiens Hus, Trivselskontakten – Easily Accessible Treatment Offer is anchored in the Health Act §126a with the aim of ensuring that children and youths experiencing mild difficulties have the opportunity for clarification and treatment outside of psychiatric care. The ambition is that with the Easily Accessible Treatment Offer we help children and young people who experience mental distress to the right treatment in time.

Familiens Hus and Trivselskontakten are part of Roskilde Municipality’s political ambition of “Strong communities for all children and young people,” with focus among other things on an early and constructive effort for children, youths and families. We are organized as an independent unit under Children and Youth in Roskilde Municipality, but headquartered outside the town hall in Roskilde city centre, close to the station. This enables us to be very accessible to the families and children/young people who need our help.

A multidisciplinary everyday life with meaning We have practitioners from different backgrounds: psychologists, PPR consultants, family therapists, child and youth advisers and health visitors. As part of Familiens Hus we also meet colleagues from health services, family outpatient clinics, Family Contact, etc., as well as several volunteers, who all contribute to the early engagement for families as well as children and young people 0-18 years old.

An important part of your daily life in the easily accessible offers is the task of STIME- and other manual-based treatment courses. You will work with:

  • pre-interviews and screening interviews
  • individual treatment courses
  • group courses
  • multidisciplinary sparring and collaboration
  • development of our early and preventive interventions
  • participation in treatment conferences and supervision rounds

Consultations and courses take place at Familiens Hus, but a forward-leaning function can also occur.

It is an advantage - but not a requirement - that you are already STIME-trained. The most important is that you have an interest in the area, including the cognitive method and evidence-based approach, and that you want to become trained in STIME and similar easily accessible treatment offerings.

Who are you?

  • you are a trained psychologist or have another basic education supplemented with relevant further education and experience within treatment methods
  • you have experience working with interventions for children and youths with early distress
  • you have an interest in contributing to the development of early and preventive treatment within the easily accessible treatment offerings in collaboration with psychiatry
  • either you are already STIME-trained, or you want to become so now
  • you thrive in multidisciplinary collaboration, are solution-oriented and welcome professional sparring
  • you have a view of the child and youth in the light of relationships and context
  • you work in a dialogical and inclusive way with children, youths, families and partners
  • you are professionally curious and flexible, but maintain overview and structure in the task
  • you are responsible, and you know that documentation of the treatment effort is a substantial part of the work as a therapist under the Health Act.

What do we offer? With us you get a pleasant workplace in the heart of Roskilde city with colleagues with high professional standards. We value close multidisciplinary collaboration and provide room for both depth and development.

You will among other things get

  • good colleagues with strong commitment to the task and the sense of community
  • ongoing education and supervision
  • opportunity for STIME training
  • influence on the development of our treatment offerings
  • engaged and professionally strong colleagues and leaders
  • close multidisciplinary collaboration, where we appreciate both the common and the differences
  • a casual and warm tone of voice, where we help each other.

And the practical? The position: Permanent, 37 hours per week

Start date: As soon as possible and no later than December 1, 2026

Application deadline: October 22, 2026

Interviews: Expected to be held at the beginning of week 44

Salary and terms of employment: In accordance with current collective agreement

A child and adult police clearance and references will be obtained prior to employment.

If you would like to help make an early difference for children, youths and families, we look forward to hearing from you.
