Training positions for anaesthesia nurses at Regionshospitalet Viborg and Regionshospitalet Silkeborg

If you are seeking new challenges you can now apply for admission to the specialisation in anaesthetic nursing at Hospitalsenhed Midt, Intensive Care and Operating, Regionshospitalet Viborg and Center for Planned Surgery, Regionshospitalet Silkeborg.

The duration of the training is 2 years, and takes place from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2029.

The positions are full-time, 37 hours per week.

As an anesthesia trainee you work 7:30-15:00 the first year of the training. In the second year, as your competencies increase, you are expected to participate in on-call duties. You have weekends and holidays off throughout the entire training.

The specialisation in anaesthetic nursing

The training is divided into 4 modules of 1/2 year duration. Each module includes clinical practice, theoretical teaching and simulation training. The theoretical teaching and simulation training take place regionally, which means that you should expect some travel during the training.

You can expect

  • anaesthetic nursing with great breadth and depth, in departments with engaged and professional staff delivering services at a high professional level
  • short-term nursing care for surgical and medical patients
  • anaesthetic nursing for the acutely critically ill patient, such as trauma calls and acute medical calls
  • a changing daily life with many challenges
  • a well-functioning team collaboration in patient pathways across professions and surgical specialties
  • a structured training program with ongoing competence assessments, reflection on one’s own practice, a theoretical course with an exam and a written assignment at the end of the training
  • an engaged mentor team that supports you through the training, and that continuously works to optimize the already good learning environment in the departments.

We expect that you

  • have Danish authorization in nursing
  • have passed a Danish or foreign nursing degree at bachelor level or a nursing degree supplemented with theory of science and method at diploma level
  • have broad clinical experience corresponding to at least 2 years of full-time employment from primarily acute and somatic areas with complex pathways
  • have the desire and willingness to actively engage in a good learning environment and a strong practice community
  • are prepared to see learning as a personal responsibility
  • have good communication and relational skills that you can actively use in patient situations and in relation to the teamwork around the patient
  • are prepared for targeted study, which at times extends beyond working hours
  • possess both professional, as well as relational, learning and change competencies.

If you are attracted by the opportunity to develop yourself both professionally and personally, and you can see yourself in a training programme where the aim is to expand your knowledge, skills and competences in anaesthetic nursing, we would love to hear from you.
