Qualified physics and mathematics teacher sought for Felsted Central School

We are seeking a qualified teacher for the upper year groups who can teach mathematics, F/K, biology, English, and possibly other subjects. If you also have other competencies, we are also very interested in these.

About the school

We are located in Felsted, a small town community in the eastern part of Aabenraa Municipality, and our school is strongly rooted in the local area and has a close collaboration with the local community. This is expressed by the school's involvement in several associations and planned new initiatives in the area.

You will become part of Felsted Centralskole, with about 30 staff in the school, the SFO (after‑school program) and the club.

Felsted is the upper school for Kliplev and Varnæs. In practice, this means that from the 7th grade we will merge pupils from 3 schools into 2 well‑functioning 7th grades. The intention is that all students feel as part of Felsted Centralskole. It is a process and a task that we will place additional focus on from the coming school year.

As a school we want a dialog-based collaboration with parents, where we as a school are curious about the individual student and to develop the potential of each child or young person. We will in greater degree be clear about our expectations of parents and clarify what parents can expect from the school. This takes its starting point in the national and Aabenraa Municipality's wish that all children should experience that they are part of an inclusive community with a focus on learning, development and well‑being.

Only with joint help in a committed collaboration between school and home will we succeed even more in giving children and young people a good school life at Felsted Centralskole. This requires a strong and increased team collaboration which we focus on in an educational program with all pedagogical staff from August.

We expect that you

• have a qualification as a (primary) school teacher or are in the final year of the teacher training. Or possibly several years of experience from primary school
• have humor and easily engage in relationships with colleagues, children and parents
• are good at structuring and planning tasks
• can work with a fixed working time, but are also flexible with regard to events
• can work independently and think independently, but always with the starting point in the close team and with focus on the core task

Everyday life in a public school is characterized by no two days being the same. You must be able to thrive in an informal tone, with room for humor, seriousness and flexibility. We place a high value on mutual trust, but of course we also have expectations and demands on the job as a teacher. We also place a high value on social well-being and want teachers who can create good relationships with the children, as well as ensure high well-being among the students in the classes.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the applicable collective agreement.

Employment on 1 January 2027. Or as soon as possible.
