Do you want to help ensure that adult foreigners receive the best possible Danish language education?

We are seeking dedicated people with teaching experience in Danish as a second language and the official Danish education programs. In particular, competencies within beginner instruction and experience with Danish education 1 at all levels are sought, as we continuously receive new students with very different language and educational backgrounds. You must have an interest in creating safe and motivating learning environments where the learners get a strong start to their Danish language and societal integration.

Tasks

• Teaching, among others, on our beginner groups for all three education programs
• An employment-oriented perspective to teaching and learners
• Day and evening teaching
• Teaching both in person at the language school, decentrally and online

Professional competences

• Trained as a teacher of Danish as a second language and experience with Danish education 1
• Knowledge of the Danish education programs for adult foreigners – including knowledge of content, objectives and module goals
• Pedagogical knowledge of the subject area Danish as a second language – and preferably experience with teaching practice.
• Experience with or particular interest in beginner teaching and language acquisition in the early phase.
• Ability to adapt teaching to learners' different learning needs

About Job and Language Djurs

Job and Language Djurs runs two language schools on Djursland, and there are about 30 employees. We offer Danish education, FVU and OBU for adults and function as a test center for the Danish education programs, FVU level tests, as well as the Citizenship and Naturalization tests. Our teachers are highly qualified with many years of experience in Danish as a second language. We also offer flexible online teaching, which makes it possible for learners to learn Danish regardless of their residence or working hours.

Organizationally, Job and Language Djurs is part of the labor market area of Norddjurs Municipality.

We are seeking two new colleagues full-time/part-time for our department in Grenå.
