Versatile Electrician for the Establishment and Terrain Command in Tirstrup

About us: We have our headquarters in Hjørring, but have staff at service locations across the country. We deliver and develop the physical framework for the military operational units and the other authorities under the Ministry of Defence.

We ensure heating, ventilation and water, perform building maintenance and minor repairs, including urgent tasks out on the facilities and much, much more.

Many of the tasks are carried out by our 29 establishment partner elements, which are distributed across the largest service locations nationwide. Here everything from user inquiries and procurement to event support and building maintenance is handled.

You will become part of an exciting task with the build-up of a brand new partner element and Air Station in Tirstrup based on a holistic plan for the large area with plenty of new construction. You will have great influence on your daily tasks and their planning.

About the position

Your tasks will consist, in collaboration with your colleagues and the local units and users – both military and civilian – of carrying out practical operations and maintenance tasks, supervision, registration, quality assurance, goods reception, etc. at the establishment, and being willing to participate in tasks that fall outside your trade, on equal footing with our property service technicians.

Your concrete tasks include among other things replacing defective lighting, outlets and reviewing electrical installations in general. You will become part of the reconstruction of a completely new air station in Tirstrup including the replacement of all infrastructure carried out by external craftsmen. You will work in close collaboration with staff at Aarhus Airport.

You should therefore expect, and be able to thrive in, a dynamic everyday life with a wide range of collaboration interfaces, which includes close dialogue with local users, colleagues, external suppliers, project managers and professional networks

About you

You are educated with a journeyman’s certificate as an electrician or within a similar trade. We would like you to have experience with building maintenance and technical installations, transformer stations, waterworks, fire installations etc. Knowledge of CTS systems would be an advantage. Rail and track lighting knowledge would be a plus.

You are used to using IT tools and email systems. You express yourself well in Danish, both in writing and speaking, and you easily interact with other people. You are outgoing, have a good sense of humor and good situational awareness.

As a person you are primarily a good colleague who values good cooperation with your colleagues and naturally contributes to the community.

You work independently and have a strong service mindset. In addition you are proactive, take responsibility for tasks and you are happy to go the extra mile to find a solution to a problem or a challenge.

You must be prepared that in the startup period there may be many issues to clarify and not yet fully in place in connection with the establishment of a brand new military Air Station in Tirstrup. Extra flexibility and adaptability from you may be necessary during this period.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license category B.

Employment terms

The employment is governed by the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organization – The State Sector (OAO-S Collective Agreement) and the Trade Agreement for craftsmen and technicians.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Tirstrup.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to render service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict-preventing, peacekeeping, peace-enforcing, humanitarian and other similar deployments.
