We are looking for a kitchen assistant in Aalestrup

Himmerlandskød is a Danish, family-owned food company with its own slaughterhouse, butchering and processing of Danish beef and veal. Spread over two locations in Himmerland, in Aalestrup and Farsø respectively, we employ more than 250 employees.

We are currently seeking a kitchen assistant for our canteen in Aalestrup for 37 hours per week, starting as soon as possible. The position involves cooking, assistance, cleaning and other versatile tasks in the house. You will work closely with our kitchen manager Trine as part of a small two-person team.

Your tasks will include

• Preparation and presentation of the daily breakfast and lunch buffet
• Planning of menus and development of new dishes and ideas
• Collaboration on purchasing, raw materials and the daily kitchen operation
• Ensuring that the kitchen, canteen and work areas always look neat, clean and well-functioning
• Cleaning and ongoing maintenance of the kitchen
• Maintaining our high standard for food safety and hygiene
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the kitchen manager and cooking for 100 people

We are looking for someone who

• Is a qualified kitchen- or nutrition assistant, preferably with several years of experience in cooking.
• Likes to cook for many people and enjoys taking responsibility for your working day.
• Is responsible and can work independently.
• Thrives in a kitchen environment and has an eye for detail.
• Is flexible and helpful in a day-to-day with different tasks.
