About the job

Do you want to use your industry experience to educate the future bridge-builders between technology, production and international business?

On the professional bachelor programme Export and Technology we are seeking a new colleague for a permanent position with start 1 February 2027.

With us you get the opportunity to put your industry experience to use in a new way. You will become part of a dedicated teaching and development environment where we educate professional bachelors who can create value at the intersection of technology, production and international business. The programme combines technological understanding with insight into product development, quality, production, sales and exports. [ucn.dk]

We believe the best learning journeys arise when theory and practice meet. Therefore our students work with concrete challenges from companies and organizations, and therefore we are seeking a colleague who can make their professional experience relevant and tangible for the students.

At the same time we want to strengthen the programme's research and development activities. As an employee with us you will have the opportunity to collaborate with companies on practice-oriented development and research projects, where new knowledge is turned into value for business, students and education.

About the position

You may work today with production, technology development, quality management, operations management or business development in a technological company. You have a relevant master's education and experience translating knowledge into practical solutions. Now you could be motivated to share your subject matter with students and contribute to development and research activities in close collaboration with industry.

We are looking for a colleague with strong technical understanding and insight into modern manufacturing and technology companies. You must be able to help students understand how technical solutions, production processes and quality work interact with companies' other value creation and international activities.

Teaching experience is not a prerequisite. The most important is that you want to put your expertise to use and contribute to the students' development.

Another important part of the position is to contribute to research and development activities within the programme's technological and production-oriented subjects.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience with research and development work or a PhD.

The position also includes project supervision, collaboration with companies, development of teaching and education, examination work and close contact with students and colleagues.

Your subject areas

You will be responsible for teaching and supervision in central areas in modern manufacturing and technology companies:

  • Material knowledge and material selection
  • Design, including basic statics and strength of materials
  • Production processes and production planning
  • Operations Management, including capacity calculations
  • Quality assurance, quality management and quality development
  • Process optimization and use of quality systems and digital control systems
  • IT systems, including ERP systems, Excel and other systems used in manufacturing companies
  • Project management

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant technical or technological master's degree, for example as civil engineer (cand.polyt., cand.tech.) or equivalent master's degree within production, technology, industrial development, operations management or related areas
  • have experience from production-, development- or technology-intensive companies
  • can translate practical experience and technical knowledge into inspiring teaching and supervision
  • are motivated to develop people and create strong learning environments
  • have a desire to collaborate with companies on practice-oriented projects
  • can teach and supervise in both Danish and English
  • thrive in an environment where collaboration, professional sparring and development are a natural part of everyday life

We offer

With us you get

  • an opportunity to make a difference for future professional profiles within technology, production and international business
  • a working life with great variety between teaching, supervision, company relations and development projects
  • opportunity to maintain and develop your contact with industry through collaboration with companies
  • a strong professional environment with engaged and helpful colleagues
  • freedom to develop teaching, projects and new collaborations
  • good opportunities for professional and personal development
  • participation in research and development projects with concrete problems from practice
  • an educational environment where curiosity, collaboration and engagement are central values
