We are looking for a pump driver for Unicon in Avedøre or Herfølge

Do you want to work with large machines, take responsibility on complex construction projects, and be the one who gets the concrete safely to the target?

At Unicon we are looking for a pump operator for our team in Avedøre or Herfølge. If you have the right experience, technical understanding, and motivation, we can help you obtain the necessary driving license and relevant certificates for a job where you get both challenges and go home every day. In the video at the bottom you can see examples of the equipment you will drive and operate.

Of course you can already be a Pump Operator, but you may also be a trained machine operator or have equivalent experience. You could also come from the contracting, concrete, or agricultural sectors. The most important thing is that you enjoy working with large machines, can take responsibility, and keep an overview when tasks become complex.

You will be responsible for one of the construction site's most important tasks

As a pump operator at Unicon, you are the specialist on the construction site. You work closely with colleagues, concrete pumps, site managers, and customers to ensure that the pouring is carried out safely, efficiently, and with the right quality.

You help ensure that the concrete is delivered and pumped at the correct speed so that the pouring proceeds according to plan and the customer gets the result that has been agreed. It requires technical understanding, good collaboration skills, and the ability to make decisions when conditions change.

As a pump operator you drive the pump truck from the factory to the construction site. Here you place the equipment safely – often under tight conditions – and set up the pump so it fits the concrete task. When the pouring begins, you operate the advanced pumping equipment and serve as the customer’s sparring partner on site.

Unicon is a market leader in Denmark, and you will be part of projects that leave lasting marks on society – from housing and infrastructure to larger commercial and civil engineering projects.

Who are you?

Your path to the job may vary, but we imagine that you meet at least one of these criteria:

• Trained machine operator or equivalent experience
• Experience with concrete and casting work
• Experience with larger machines and processes from e.g. farming or industry
• Experience with cranes, construction equipment, or other technical equipment
• Relevant experience from the contracting or construction industry

Equally important is that you

• Enjoy responsibility and independent decision-making
• Have good technical and mechanical understanding
• Are collaborative and service-minded
• Can maintain an overview when the pace is high
• Work safely, in a structured and solution-oriented way

A large driving license and EU certificate are an advantage but not a requirement. If you have the right profile, we offer the necessary training and the possibility to obtain relevant driving licenses and certificates.

Why you should choose Unicon

At Unicon you become part of Denmark’s leading concrete producer and a strong professional community where safety, quality, and collaboration go hand in hand.

We offer

• Thorough training and introduction to the job
• Modern equipment and exciting tasks
• The possibility to obtain relevant driving licenses and certificates through Unicon
• Paid work clothing scheme including washing
• Good development opportunities – both professionally and personally
• A strong collegial community and a unique team spirit
• Industry-leading employment terms

A flexible working arrangement with freedom, responsibility, and good opportunities for compensatory time off

As a pump operator you do not work a traditional 7- to 3- shift. When a larger pour is in progress, we stay on site until the task is completed. You will experience periods of long workdays and substantial overtime. In return you get the salary that follows, and good opportunities to accumulate compensatory time off – often as full days off.

Many of our pump operators appreciate the freedom and variation in the job. Some days are shorter, others longer, but what they all have in common is that you work together to get the task safely finished.

If you enjoy responsibility, variety, and the idea of finishing the job rather than watching the clock, you will fit in well with us.

How to become part of the team

If you can see yourself in the role, we would love to hear from you – even if you do not meet all the requirements on paper.

Send your application and CV as soon as possible. If you have questions about the position, please contact Ib Jepsen at phone number 2484 0935.

We hold interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we find the right candidate.
