VIA Continuing Education and Further Education seeks an instructor/consultant for the Health sector

Do you want to help develop the municipal health professionals of the future and strengthen quality in elder care through education, competence development and practice-based development programs?

The elderly reform creates new opportunities and at the same time sets high demands on both staff, leaders and organizations in the municipal health service. Therefore VIA Continuing Education is seeking an engaged colleague who can contribute to the development of competences, learning pathways and professional solutions close to practice.

We are looking for an employee for the professional environment SUND , who is passionate about translating research-based knowledge into concrete improvements in the health service.

About the position

As a teacher and consultant in SUND you will become part of a strong professional community that works with continuing and further education, development programs, advisory services and projects in collaboration with municipalities and other actors in the health sector.

You will work independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, customers and partners to develop and implement educational and competence development programs that support the changes called for by the elderly reform and the ongoing development of the health service.

Your primary tasks

• Teaching, guidance and examination at diploma level and other continuing and further education programs.
• Development and delivery of courses, theme days, workshops and learning programs for health professionals.
• Facilitating implementation and development processes in municipalities and other organizations.
• Intensive sparring with leaders, key personnel and organizations on competence development and quality improvement.
• Development of practice-based competence development programs in close collaboration with purchasers.
• Project work and participation in research and development activities.
• Contribution to the development of new educational and course offerings within the health sector.

We imagine that you

• Have a health professional basic education.
• Have a relevant further education at master's level and ideally a PhD.
• Are a senior lecturer or have experience with teaching, guidance and facilitation of learning processes.
• Have experience with quality development, development projects or implementation of new working methods and initiatives.
• Can translate research-based and evidence-based knowledge into practice-oriented solutions.
• Have insight into the municipal health service and preferably especially the elderly care sector.
• Have experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Thrive with independent responsibility and at the same time contribute actively to a shared professional environment.

In addition, we would like you to have experience with

• Quality development and quality data.
• Competence development of employees and leaders.
• Organizational change processes.
• Project management or project coordination.
• Research and development work.
• Evidence-based practice and implementation.

Employment terms

Depending on your educational background, the appointment will be in accordance with either the applicable collective agreement for academics in the state or the common agreement for LC/CO10 and the organizational agreement for teachers at business academies and university colleges.

The appointment is covered by Executive Order no. 414 of 27 April 2025 on the job structure for teachers at higher education institutions at business academies, university colleges, Denmark's School of Media and Journalism and maritime educational institutions, and Executive Order no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on lecturer qualification, lecturer evaluation and docent evaluation.

The position is 37 hours per week.

Your main workplace is VIA Campus Aarhus N, but you should expect that there may be activities throughout the Central Denmark Region.

Start date no later than 1 March 2027.

The application deadline is 1 November 2026.

We expect to conduct 1st round of interviews in week 46 and 47.
