Viby School seeks a Danish teacher with a strong special education profile and relational skills as a teacher in the group arrangement Supercenteret (SPC middle years and upper secondary)

At Viby School we are looking for a dedicated, special-education experienced teacher who wishes to make a difference as a teacher for our lovely students in our well-functioning group arrangement Supercenteret (SPC) at department Bueager. We are looking for you who want to make a big difference and help develop together with the rest of the SPC team. In addition to the academic, we work with social annual plans, where this year there is education in social learning once a week.

The project is in collaboration with and supported by a PPR consultant. At Viby School we aim - based on community, participation and curiosity - to work together for a good learning environment in a strong collegial community.

We are looking for a teacher who

• Has a special-educational profile, preferably with knowledge of the NEST principles, Low arousal , visually supportive and practice-oriented teaching
• Taught in subjects such as Danish and cultural subjects.
• Values collaboration with colleagues highly in a structured team collaboration, where the team meetings are scheduled from the start of the year
• Sees the strength of good and constructive parent collaboration and is a strong communicator about what moves in the class and the individual student
• Wants to contribute to making our team collaboration even stronger
• Has a strong professional level and bases on the students’ subject-specific level and needs
• Values the students’ versatile development and well-being
• Is strong in classroom management and can adjust practice to the students’ concrete needs
• Wants to participate in the school’s ongoing school development, which we also frame in our fixed weekly meeting day every Thursday
• Arrives at work with joy and engagement

Who are we? Viby School is a two-to-three-track school and after-school program located on two sites, which within a short period will be fully three-track. At the Ørstedvej campus we have students in 0nd-5th grade plus after-school, while students in 6th-9th grade go to the Bueager campus.

In addition, we have the group arrangement at the school, covering both campuses and we are also developing a hybrid form to strengthen the school’s ability to support as many students as possible in the general school. In that movement we are also working to strengthen the school’s resource guidance corps and PLC, which will also be expanded in the coming school year. As a new teacher at the school you will naturally be part of this development and have the opportunity to contribute to it – also within your own professional field.

We also have a strong focus on ensuring good transitions for the students and a strong coherence between the school’s two campuses. In the coming school year we will develop this area much more, very much also with your good ideas.

Salary and employment terms Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and advance agreement on salary entered into between Roskilde Municipality and Roskilde Teachers’ Association.
