About the job

The Surgical Common Department seeks a development nurse who is passionate about professional curiosity, reflection and development. You will take a central role in strengthening the department's strategic direction in a time when digitization, the Health Reform and new requirements for patient pathways demand high quality, innovation and strong professional leadership.

Starting date: January 1, 2027, 37 hours/week.

About the position

As a development nurse, you will become a central key person in the department's strategic staff function with professional reference to the Chief Nurse and the Chief Physician. You will be part of a small, interdisciplinary development team consisting of a development nurse, development therapist and a research secretary, where sparring, collaboration and curiosity are the foundation of the work. In addition, you will have a close collaboration with the department's interdisciplinary leadership team on development of the department across disciplines and organizing.

The position is 37 hours per week, and you have on average 7.4 hours per week allocated to “clinic-near development,” where you wear a white coat and actively engage in clinical work very close to patients and staff. This is not counted in the staffing norm, but with opportunities to continuously qualify your development tasks with direct insight into practice. The development team shares an office close to the department management and works closely together to support quality, learning and development across the Surgical Common Department.

You will have a visible and present role in everyday life, where you drive development tasks across wards and professional groups very close to clinical practice. Both yourself and through key people and specialty leads around all divisions. You will become an important actor in creating professional reflection, coordinating development initiatives and ensuring that the department's methods, organizations and workflows are continuously developed in line with new knowledge and new requirements.

The Surgical Common Department is a highly versatile department, covering many different wards, specialties and professionalisms. You are therefore expected to be able to identify and drive development projects across all of the department's specialties.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for driving, coordinating and qualifying development work across the department. This includes:

  • Create professional reflection and development through close contact with the clinic
  • Coordinate development initiatives based on evidence- and experience-based knowledge
  • Identify training needs and implement competence development
  • Be a professional sparring partner for leaders, specialty leads and other staff
  • Carry out audits, monitoring and quality tasks
  • Receive, qualify and approve e-doc documents and prepare new ones
  • Support implementation of clinical guidelines, new workflows and health technologies
  • Handle incidents and facilitate root cause analyses
  • Represent the department in quality organizations, networks and development councils
  • Act as coordinator for national and regional LKT projects
  • Hold functions in relation to 7th semester nursing students and students in citizen-centered nursing

We offer

  • A development position with a great opportunity to influence the department's professional direction
  • A strong interdisciplinary development team with high professionalism
  • Close collaboration with a strong, interdisciplinary leadership team
  • A daily life close to the clinic, where development and practice go hand in hand
  • A workplace in motion with a focus on quality and coherent patient pathways
  • Good opportunities for personal and professional development
  • A work environment characterized by respect, trust, open dialogue and professional pride
  • Great independence and the opportunity to make a clear mark
  • Opportunity to contribute to the future of healthcare through new workflows and digital solutions

We are seeking a development nurse who

  • Is licensed as a nurse
  • Has further education at master’s or candidate level
  • Has solid clinical experience and insight
  • Has experience with quality, development and project work
  • Thrives in change and implementation processes
  • Is outgoing, curious, proactive and relational
  • Has strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Has the courage to ask critical questions and foster reflection
  • Can drive implementation processes and create buy-in
  • Has IT skills at user level
