About the job
Can you generate interest among private companies and public organizations – and convert it into concrete collaboration agreements? Do you want to help create job opportunities that enable students to combine a master's degree at the University of Copenhagen with relevant work?
As part of the master's reform, KU is developing many new professional master's programs. It requires close collaboration with employers who can see the value in employing students and supporting the interaction between education and work.
We are therefore seeking a corporate consultant who can identify relevant employers, open new dialogues and develop collaborations up to concrete agreements. You will become part of the Centre for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (VLL) and will have a close colleague who already works with the task. You will both be part of a larger team around the many new master's programs we are developing at KU – i.e. both shorter master's programs and professional master's programs. It is primarily the professional master’s programs you will work with.
Your responsibilities
Your main task is to build and develop collaborations with private companies and public organizations on the employment of professional master's students. You must be able to understand employers' needs and, in cooperation with KU’s academic environments, show how the new programs and the students’ competencies can create value.
You will be responsible for driving collaboration processes from the first contact to a concrete agreement and following up to ensure the collaboration gets off the ground. Your tasks will include, among others, to:
- Identify and approach relevant employers with a basis in the professional master's programs KU develops.
- Investigate employers' competence and recruitment needs and generate interest in employing professional master's students.
- Develop agreement concepts that can support our partnerships with industry.
- Develop and enter into collaboration agreements in close cooperation with relevant colleagues, education leadership and academic environments.
- Support employers in concretising relevant job opportunities and clarify the terms for the collaboration with KU.
- Build relationships with industry associations, business networks and other actors who can open doors to more employers.
- Plan and conduct company meetings, networking activities and events.
- Work systematically with contacts, follow-up and progress, so we have an overview of dialogues, agreements and job opportunities.
- Help KU build an infrastructure around the new professional master's programs that makes it easy for companies, students and the academic environments to create the new good education paths.
You also contribute to developing the materials and workflows that make it easy for employers to collaborate with KU. Experiences from the company dialogues should also be brought back to the work with the education programs.
Your profile
We are looking for you who thrive on making contact, understanding different needs and creating forward movement in collaborations. You can make the opportunities relevant for the employer and are persistent when an agreement requires several conversations and involves several decision-makers.
We particularly emphasize that you
- Have experience with proactive corporate collaboration, partnership development, consulting or sales to companies and organizations.
- Can show examples of how you have translated an initial dialogue into concrete agreements or collaborations.
- Are good at identifying needs and communicating a proposal’s value to different target groups.
- Can negotiate and align expectations so the collaboration has clear boundaries and mutual value.
- Work independently and in a structured way to prioritise contacts, follow up and bring agreements to fruition.
- Can collaborate across disciplines and navigate a large organization with many stakeholders.
- Have a relevant education at master's level.
Knowledge of the university sector and experience with collaboration between educational institutions and employers is an advantage. The same goes for a relevant network among private companies or public organizations. You must be curious about KU’s disciplines and be able to understand the frameworks that apply to professional master's programs.
Your colleagues and your workplace
You will be employed in Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning (VLL), which works with development and provision of KU’s continuing and further education and with relations to the labor market.
You will have close collaboration with the colleague who already works with agreements on professional master's programs. Together you will expand the employer contact and develop a common practice for creating and following up on collaborations.
You will also participate in KU’s cross-cutting work with the master's reform and collaborate with colleagues in other departments as well as education leadership and academic environments across the faculties.
In VLL we emphasize professional sparring, knowledge sharing and shared responsibility for the results. You will have room to take initiative and shape how we solve the task.
We offer
- A role with a concrete purpose: to create collaborations and job opportunities that support KU’s professional master's programs.
- Opportunity to influence a new effort and work with a wide range of private and public employers.
- Close collegial sparring and access to academic environments across KU.
- An working environment with independent responsibility, collaboration and opportunities for professional development.
Salary and terms of employment
Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of AC organizations – including the Danish Association of Master’s Degrees (DM) and the Danish Psychological Association (DP). You will be placed as a Special Consultant. There is the possibility of negotiating supplements according to qualifications.
The working hours are 37 hours per week including lunch. The position is intended to be filled on 1 February 2027, or as soon as possible.

We expect to conduct interviews on 2 December and again on 9 December between 12:30 – 17:00.
