About the job

And would you like to help tell the story of Operations Support Wing including our task execution and the organization as an attractive place to work?

So you have the opportunity to become our new visual content creator and web designer at Operations Support Wing at Karup Air Station.

ABOUT US

Operations Support Wing is an operational unit in the Royal Danish Air Force based at Karup Air Station. We support national and international operations and provide critical support capabilities to the entire Defence.

You will become part of a communications team, where we are a mix of civilians and military, each contributing with different professional skills and perspectives. We are a relatively new team, which means you will have significant influence on workflows and procedures.

In Operations Support Wing you become part of an organization with high professionalism, strong commitment and an informal tone. Here you will have the opportunity to work close to the operational reality and help make visible the people and tasks that every day contribute to Denmark's security.

We offer an exciting position in a social environment where well-being and community are in focus. You will be part of a committed camaraderie with social events across Operations Support Wing, including among other things a Christmas lunch and summer party, as well as the possibility of membership of the Operations Support Wing Staff Association.

In addition we also offer flexible frames that ensure balance between work and private life, including the possibility for homeworking by agreement.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As our new visual content creator and web designer you will be a central part of the wing's communications efforts. You will have great influence on how we tell the story of Operations Support Wing, both internally and externally.

The position is newly established, which gives you a unique opportunity to shape the tasks and develop the visual communication in close collaboration with colleagues.

You must be able to switch between creative ideas and practical execution. One day you produce content for social media, the next you design information materials, update websites or assist at a larger recruitment event as stand personnel.

Your tasks will include among other things to

  • develop and produce visual content for social media
  • produce and edit images and video for social media and our other communication channels
  • prepare graphic products such as brochures, hand-outs, posters, briefings and other information and PR material for the management as well as recruitment events

  • set up internal newsletters and produce content for our internal Teamsite, ForsvarsInfo, Forsvaret.dk and other platforms
  • maintain and structure the Wing's photo archive
  • contribute to Operations Support Wing's visual identity and ensure a consistent graphic expression across communication channels

In addition you will, as needed, support the communications efforts at recruitment events, such as visits by vocational interns, Danish Air Show and other similar activities.

If you have experience with photography and can deliver high-quality images, this is an advantage but not a necessity.

ABOUT YOU

You may have a relevant education in communication, multimedia design, graphic design, digital media production or similar - or perhaps you have equivalent professional experience.

We also anticipate that you

  • have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and/or Premiere Pro (or equivalent programs)
  • have experience with web editing, CMS and Microsoft SharePoint
  • are a strong visual communicator with a sense for graphic design and user experience
  • work in a structured and independent way and can keep overview of several tasks simultaneously
  • are proactive and thrive in a daily life where tasks vary

It would be an advantage if you have experience with photography and video production, but it is not a requirement.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is a possibility for negotiating a supplement. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.
