We are looking for a skilled social worker/social mediator for the sickness benefits area

We have the opportunity to strengthen the effort in the sickness benefits area through an additional staff member in a two-year project period. The aim is to support an early, targeted and business-oriented approach that helps more sick-listed citizens maintain their connection to the labor market and return to work when possible.

You are employed in the Center for Citizens & Employment in Stevns Municipality. You will become part of a fantastic workplace and a well-functioning team of 14 employees – Team Job & Rehabilitation.

Team Job & Rehabilitation works with several different target groups – sick pay benefits, job clarification, resource programs, flexible jobs/unemployment benefits and activity-oriented cash benefit recipients over 30 years old.

Your core task will be to help citizens return to the labor market based on the resource-oriented conversation. You work systematically with progression in the citizen's pathway and plan the interventions based on each citizen's situation and possibilities. This entails close collaboration with employers on, among other things, partial sick certifications, adaptation of work tasks and a realistic and sustainable return to work.

You get a job where you have great influence over your tasks and where the work is exciting and diverse. The management structure is relatively flat and there is an emphasis on openness, motivation and dialogue. You will have opportunities for professional development, courses etc. In the coming period all employees will undergo a development/education program as a result of the reform.

Your tasks are business-oriented follow-up conversations with sick-listed citizens, collaboration with employers regarding return to work, cross-department collaboration, close collaboration with doctors, professional organizations etc. You shall work with the citizens on a close, business-oriented and holistic effort that can help them back to the labor market.

• Is trained as social worker / social mediator or has another relevant background
• Can safely apply the legislation and translate its intentions into a professionally well-founded effort.
• Can collaborate with companies on partial sick certifications and a safe return to work.
• You can actively use your knowledge of labour market shortage areas as well as education and upskilling opportunities in advising.
• Have good communication and dissemination skills, both written and oral.
• Are administratively strong, target-oriented and work systematically.
• Trives in a busy everyday life and maintain composure and respect for the individual when dealing with complex issues.
• Is a pronounced team player, good at building relationships across citizens, colleagues and partners – with good humor and strong engagement.

Salary and employment

Working hours are 37 hours per week. Employment starting 1 January 2027. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement.
