About the job

Vester Hassing Residential Care Facility seeks new colleagues for a group in development

At Botilbuddet Vester Hassing we are facing an exciting staffing expansion in connection with the admission of a new resident. Therefore we are seeking engaged and professionally curious staff who want to become part of a strong community around a group of residents with extensive support and care needs.

For us, it’s not just a job. It is an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives every day.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for pedagogues and social and health care assistants, but we place just as much emphasis on you:

  • meet people with respect, presence and patience
  • are curious about behavior and want to understand what lies behind it
  • can create calm, structure and security in daily life
  • thrive in close team collaboration
  • see the value in both care tasks and pedagogical interventions
  • contribute positively to a good working environment

About the residents

The group consists of six adults with developmental disabilities and complex support needs. Several have limited or no verbal language, and some have physical impairments that require extensive care needs.

Therefore daily life consists of a combination of

  • personal care and support
  • assistance with activities of daily living (ADL)
  • communication and relationship work
  • structure and predictability in daily life
  • accompaniment to activities and experiences
  • focus on well-being, development and quality of life

We are looking for staff who see the connection between good care and the pedagogical efforts, and who understand that both are essential for the residents’ ability to live a good life.

What will you become part of?

Vester Hassing Residential Care Facility consists of five groups and 30 places. You will be attached to one fixed team, which provides good opportunities to build strong relationships with both residents and colleagues.

With us you get

  • a safe and stable working community
  • skilled and engaged colleagues
  • professional sparring and reflection
  • thorough onboarding
  • opportunity to influence a group in development
  • a workplace focused on decency, humor and collaboration

We actively work to create continuity and high quality in the work with residents, and you will therefore have an important role in supporting both professional development and stable everyday life.

Our professional approach

We work from a recovery-oriented rehabilitative approach, where the resident’s wishes, resources and quality of life are central.

At the same time we implement LA2U as a common professional foundation with focus on

  • prevention
  • understanding behavior
  • shared reflection
  • calm and security in interaction

Additionally, learning days are held continuously throughout the year, where the shared professional practice is in focus.

Furthermore, supervision is planned year-round, focusing on the individual resident and with room for curiosity, new perspectives and new approaches.

We prepare you well — but we also expect you to take responsibility for your own professional development.

The position

  • 37 hours
  • day and evening shifts
  • weekends every 2nd or 3rd week
  • Start around January 1, 2027 – or earlier
  • Salary according to current collective agreement
  • Criminal record certificate and references obtained

Bus connections are limited, so a car is an advantage.
