It is something we are proud of, but we do not see it as a reason to lean back. On the contrary, because we know that high professional quality is not something you finish. It is something we must be curious about every day, work on and take responsibility for.

In Degnebakken we believe in

that children do the best they can.

that present adults are crucial for children's safety, well-being and development.

that strong relationships do not arise by themselves, but require adults who are present and take responsibility.

that when a child stands on the edge of the community, we should look at the frames and the relationships.

And most of all, it is always the adults' responsibility to adjust our pedagogy when something difficult occurs in the children's community.

It does not mean that we always have the right answer. It means that we are willing to search for it together.
