We are seeking students for Foundation Course 2 (GF2) for the Social and Health Care Education programs.

GF2 is the entry to the Social- and Health Helper education (SSH) and to the Social- and Health Assistant education (SSA).

Struer Municipality is seeking students for the social- and health educations starting GF2 on 11 January 2027. If you are a student, GF2 can be shortened to 8 weeks starting 3 November 2026. If you have passed GF2 to PA or trained as PA, GF2 can be shortened to 4 weeks.

GF2 normally has a duration of 20 weeks and gives access to SSH, which takes 14 months and SSA, which takes 2 years and 10 months. Both SSH and SSA programs alternate between school and on-the-job training. The school periods generally take place at SOSU College Mid- and West Jutland, Døesvej 66 in Holstebro. When you are in on-the-job training, you become part of the work community at the training site, and you will work both evenings and weekends in accordance with the collective agreement.

• Apply for admission to GF2 at www.optagelse.dk

Under “Søg ungdomsuddannelse eller 10. klasse” you sign up for Grundforløbet. Here you can upload your school and education certificates securely. You will receive a letter from the SOSU school in your e-Boks when they have received your application.

• Get a so-called “Education plan” made, which is prepared by the study guidance at SOSU-school - contact study guidance at Social- and Health School Mid- and West Jutland at tel. 96272920 weekdays between 9 and 11. Or contact study guidance by email: [email protected]
• If you are over 25 years old, you must also have a Real Competence Assessment (RKV). This takes place by signing up for an RKV day, either at the school in Herning or in Holstebro.
