About the job

Do you want to be the therapeutic lead for Outpatient Rehabilitation?

We are looking for an operational manager for Outpatient Rehabilitation. But we are not just looking for a leader for a well-functioning department. You will step in at a time when Training & Prevention has just become one unified organization , and where we have the opportunity to create new connections between rehabilitation, prevention and rehabilitation – and where in 2027 we will move to a newly built Health House designed for our and the citizens' needs!

That makes the leadership role somewhat different: You must be close to the staff and daily operations – and be keen to look beyond your own area and help develop the whole.

You will become part of Training & Prevention

Training & Prevention consists of three departments: Outpatient Rehabilitation, the Prevention Center and the geriatric track . You will become the daily leader for Outpatient Rehabilitation, while Julie Borgen Braget is the daily leader for the Prevention Center, and Kasper Storgaard Høgh is the daily leader for the geriatric track.

Frederik Andersen is the overall head of Training & Prevention, and together you form a leadership team, with the ambition that we together take responsibility for the entire organization.

It is an organization in motion. As mentioned, we are in the process of finding good interfaces, using our professional expertise better across, and creating coherence for citizens. At the same time we face exciting development tasks as a result of health and aging reforms, digitalization and new collaborations between municipalities, regions, civil society and other actors.

You should therefore be willing to be part of building something up and to find energy in finding synergies!

You take over a strong professional environment

In Outpatient Rehabilitation you meet a staff group with high professional expertise and great engagement. The area consists of about 22 occupational therapists and physiotherapists, many of whom have been here for many years. There is a tradition of professional sparring, reflection, competence development and contributing to the education of future therapists.

That also means we do not expect you to have all the professional answers.

Your task will more to create direction, frameworks and coherence around staff who can and want to practice their profession. You must sense when clear leadership is needed, and when the strongest leadership move is to give space, ask questions and support the employees' own responsibility.

You will have the daily management and treatment responsibility for Outpatient Rehabilitation. This will be your first and most important task. At the same time you will be an important part of developing the coherence between rehabilitation, prevention and the other rehabilitative efforts.

Leadership with us

You will work closely with Kasper, who is the daily leader for the geriatric track.

The ambition is a real leadership partnership, where you can cover for each other, spar on difficult decisions, share relevant staff capacity and in some situations make decisions across the areas. It requires trust and a desire to make each other better.

Julie and Frederik will be the other close collaborators in the leadership team. We do not expect to agree on everything. Instead, we expect that we can be open about doubts, challenge each other’s perspectives and then take joint responsibility for the decisions we make.

What should you be focused on?

We are looking for a leader who can both take good care of what already works and be curious about what can be improved.

You should among other things have an eye for how we

  • create even better coherent pathways for citizens
  • develop collaboration across Training & Prevention
  • strengthen collaboration with the region, civil society and other external partners
  • translate new knowledge, research and not least technology into practice
  • maintain a strong professional environment while the organization changes.

We do not expect that you have already tried everything. But we are excited about what perspectives you can notice.

Who are you?

You have a health-professional background as occupational therapist or physiotherapist .

You may already have management experience from a public organization. But we are also interested in you who have not yet held a formal leadership position, if for example you have substantial project management experience, are pursuing a leadership education or in other ways have moved toward leadership and are ready to take the next step.

When we read your application and meet you, we are especially curious whether you

  • can create direction through dialogue, relationships and clarity
  • can stand in decisions, even when there isn’t a single answer
  • see opportunities across professions and organizational boundaries
  • can be close to the staff without micromanaging
  • are willing to both lead your own area and share responsibility for a larger whole

What do you get with us and who will be your own leader?

You get a workplace with stable staff groups, strong professional environments and a significant commitment to education, development and professional quality. We are a workplace with well-being and job satisfaction and we are proud of it!

Frederik Andersen, your immediate supervisor, has himself held the role of leader of Outpatient Rehabilitation and therefore knows the task, the staff and the dilemmas that can come with it.

Frederik describes his own leadership as follows

I am relationship-oriented and place importance on trust and open dialogue. My starting point is that if employees are well, we solve the task well! I expect you to take responsibility and use your leadership space, and I would like you to bring your ideas, your doubts and your disagreements into our collaboration. I will not provide all the answers – but you can count on us thinking through the hard questions together. I have for many years held various leadership roles in state, region and municipality.

You will have the freedom to make your mark on Outpatient Rehabilitation and ongoing sparring about priorities, development and the decisions that come with the leadership role.

Shall we grab a coffee first?

A job advertisement can only tell part of the story.

If you are curious about the job, Frederik would therefore be happy to invite you for an informal cup of coffee of about half an hour, before you decide whether to apply. Here you can discuss the leadership task, the staff group, the collaboration in the leadership team and the considerations we are making about the further development of Training & Prevention.

Call or send Frederik a text at the number 21 32 47 73 - then you will find a time.

About the recruitment process

It is important for us to find the right person – both for the leadership task, the staff group and the leadership community you will join. Therefore we want to be thorough in our recruitment process and at the same time give you the opportunity to get a real impression of us and the task.

Before the first interview you will receive some questions and materials that we ask you to relate to. It should not be a test, but give us a better starting point for a good and concrete conversation about leadership, the task and your thoughts.

The first interview will be held on Friday, 20 November 2026 , and the second interview on Tuesday, 24 November 2026 and the position is expected to be taken up on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We hope the process provides both you and us with a good basis to assess whether we are the right match.
