About the job

Would you like a practical and meaningful job where you have the opportunity to create something new and at the same time make a difference for people?

We are looking for two committed colleagues to start up and operate our new assistive device depot at Bornholm Hospital.

As an employee in the assistive device depot you will play an important role in ensuring patients get the aids they need when they are to go home from hospital.

You will organizationally be part of the Procurement Department, but your daily base will be in the assistive device depot. Here you will be part of building the new function and have the opportunity to help create good workflows and a well-functioning everyday life.

A day-to-day life with both fixed routines and new tasks

The work spans a wide range, and you will use both hands, your head and your good mood.

Your tasks will include

  • Ordering and inventory management of assistive devices
  • Picking and lending of assistive devices in close collaboration with our occupational therapists
  • Delivery and collection of assistive devices across Bornholm – including contact with citizens in their own homes
  • Maintenance and cleaning of assistive devices
  • Building and developing good workflows in the new depot

You will therefore have a varied working day with both practical tasks in the depot, driving on the island and contact with citizens and colleagues.

There will be fixed daily routines, but also tasks that arise along the way. You must therefore thrive on days that can be different, and that sometimes you must think quickly and find a good solution.

Be with us from the start

The assistive device depot is a new function, and you will therefore have a special opportunity to be involved from the very beginning.

You will become an important part of getting the depot well established and will contribute to how the tasks and workflows should function in practice.

At the same time you will become part of the Procurement Department and have close collaboration with occupational therapists, colleagues and other professional groups at the hospital.

We value helpfulness, service, responsibility and good collaboration – and that we have a good and positive atmosphere in everyday life.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is practically oriented and likes to make things work
  • Can work independently and take responsibility
  • Is thorough, reliable and good at maintaining overview
  • Thrives with both routine tasks and unexpected challenges
  • Is flexible, service-minded and accommodating
  • Is good at meeting different people in a respectful and professional manner
  • Has a good mood and contributes positively to the collaboration
  • Has physical stamina to lift, drive trolleys and be in movement most of the day
  • Has a driving license for a standard car (B)

It is an advantage if you have experience from warehousing, procurement, logistics, service or similar, but it is not a requirement . We place at least as much emphasis on your attitude, your willingness to learn and your approach to tasks and people.

We offer

  • Opportunity to start and develop a completely new function
  • Opportunity to shape your impact on workflows and daily operations
  • A varied working day with both practical tasks, driving and citizen contact
  • A meaningful job where you make a concrete difference for patients and citizens
  • Good and fixed working hours
  • A good collaboration across the hospital

Working hours: 30 hours per week on weekdays between 7:00 and 15:00. Free on weekends and holidays.

Salary: According to the agreement for house assistants, etc. with pay corresponding to a house assistant. There is a possibility for individual negotiation depending on further qualifications.
