Danish language education
What does it mean?
Danish language education for adult foreigners (danskuddannelse) teaches the Danish language and society. It is offered by the municipalities and takes place at language centres, often as daytime classes, evening classes and online.
The education is divided into several levels depending on your background and how fast you learn. Many people take classes alongside a full-time job. There may be a fee, and the rules change regularly, so check the current terms with your municipality.
Even though many international workplaces use English, Danish opens up more jobs, makes it easier to settle in and can matter for later residence applications.
You sign up through your municipality, usually once you have a CPR number. See more on lifeindenmark.borger.dk.
