Do you want good working conditions and to be involved in the development of social medicine in the Capital Region of Denmark (soon Region East), then we would very much like to have you as our new colleague .

The Department of Social Medicine has two specialist physician positions in the Social Medicine Clinic, which we wish to fill with doctors with social medical experience.

Social Medicine Clinic's main task is to provide health-related professional advice for the region's 29 municipalities, including in relation to the legislation on early retirement pension and sickness benefits. You will be attached to the Social Medicine Clinic, where the main tasks are assessment of health status, diagnostics and assessment of functional capacity, assessment of rehabilitation possibilities and assessment of connection to the labor market.

The tasks in the Social Medicine Clinic are concretely reflected in

  • Outpatient social-medical assessments.
  • Health-related medical advice.
  • Work retention and rehabilitation pathways.
  • Teaching and dissemination.
  • Research.
  • Development of the social medical task with focus on the preventive and rehabilitative efforts in collaboration with the secondary sector.

We are a broadly composed and professionally strong team consisting of doctors (somatic and psychiatric), psychologists, physiotherapists, social workers, researchers and secretaries.

We place emphasis on a high professional level, interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing, both internally in the department and in cooperation with, among others, municipalities and agencies. We highly value education and research and focus on continuing education and career development.

Qualifications

  • Broad education and clinical experience, preferably documented specialist-level experience within the social medical field.
  • Experience with collaboration with external partners, including other clinical hospital departments, regions and municipalities, is an advantage.
  • Research experience is desirable but not required.

We are seeking a doctor who can communicate professionally, clearly and with solid professional acumen, both verbally and in writing. You must be able to work across disciplines at several levels (individual, group and organizational level) and be able to accommodate, create an overview of and conclude on often very complex issues.

You must be good at taking responsibility, showing leadership and initiative, and ensuring that decisions are implemented. In addition, we expect you to be engaged and have a positive attitude toward the continued development of the Department of Social Medicine.

We can offer you

  • An attractive workplace with a good working environment and an informal tone.
  • A professionally strong, engaged and innovative work environment in a department that is continuously developing.
  • Interesting and varied tasks with a large cross-institutional contact surface, both internally and externally.
