Operation and Intensive Care, Regionshospitalet Gødstrup

• The region's largest cohesive operating suite with 26 operating rooms.
• The following surgical specialties: abdominal, orthopedics, urology, gyne/obstetrics, ENT, ophthalmology
• Approximately 19,000 anesthesia procedures annually, of which pediatric anesthesia accounts for 1,400.
• Intensive care unit with 11 beds - about 1,100 patients annually.
• Approximately 3,000 births per year. The epidural analgesia rate in labor is about 20%, the cesarean rate about 20%.
• Approximately 700 trauma calls annually and about 700 acute medical calls.
• Two ambulance vehicles in the area. The vehicle in Herning is fully integrated and the vehicle in Holstebro is partially integrated into the department's operations.
• The responsible consultant for research participates in the department's research committee.
• The medical staff currently consists of 36 specialists, 4 doctors in the final year of the main training program, and 5 doctors in introductory positions.

• 4 weeks of focused stay on Intensive Care with daytime hours and supervised ward rounds.
• Large volume of procedures, including spinal, epidural, CVK (central venous catheterization) and participation in acute calls in the house.

Employment terms

Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

A training physician cannot be employed in more than one introductory position in anesthesiology.

Employment is conditional on an approved child/background check.

The application deadline is 16 November 2026.
