12-month locum as a specialist at the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, North Zealand Hospital, Hillerød

The position is available for occupancy on 1.12.26 or by agreement.

The position is desired to be filled by an applicant who

• is a specialist physician in pediatrics
• has interest in and experience within general pediatrics, including acute pediatrics
• has experience with neonatology
• is proactive with good organizational skills and a desire to develop otherwise
• has good collaboration skills
• preferably has experience in quality work or research

The specialist will be expected to help shape the department's professional profile both internally and externally within the areas of expertise to which they are attached and collaborate cross‑disciplinarily with the multidisciplinary teams both inside and outside the department.

The department's needs are within acute pediatrics and currently within ambulatory care, general pediatrics, including the gastroenterology area, but this is not fixed. The applicant will primarily be responsible for managing and developing these areas together with the other doctors and nurses attached to the respective team.

For the position, there will also be emphasis on the applicant possessing the relevant specialty-specific interest and possibly competences, but all interested specialists are encouraged to apply. .

The department prioritizes development/education and a good working environment highly.

The position will be part of the department's on‑call team which currently for specialists is a 16-17 shift, two‑part duty with presence followed by standby duty from the on-call room. In addition there will be an extended daytime service about every 19-20 days, in the evenings until 17-19, varying with the season.
