About the job

We are looking for YOU who want to combine working life with very young children, and who can offer a home that can create the framework for a safe and developmentally rich child environment.

Your workplace will be your own home, where you will care for four children aged 0 – 2.11 years. At times you may also host a guest child.

Your weekly working hours will be 48 hours, and fall within the period 06:00-17:00. Working hours are adjusted in collaboration with the parents.

A typical week could look like this

  • Monday – Thursday 06:15-16:00
  • Friday 06:15-15:15

You will become part of a colleague community with 16 other day-care providers, who in collaboration with the district's other kindergartens help to develop the good life for children.

You will become part of a playgroup with two to three other day-care colleagues. You will participate in a professional and social community with your colleagues and in close collaboration with the pedagogical supervisor and the staff of the resource center.

We are focused on developing the quality of our 0-2-year-old children through professionalisation of day care. This requires you to have a reflective and curious approach to the work as a day-care provider.

In Nordfyn Municipality we work with an early preventive effort with particular focus on attachment and transitions. It is about creating coherence in the child’s life – both in the transition from home to day care and from day care to the kindergarten. Our focus areas should contribute to creating well-being, development, learning and formation for the youngest children.

We are looking for a day-care provider who

  • exudes joy of life and enjoys playing with children
  • has a strong personal foundation and preferably experience within the age group
  • can create a good parent collaboration based on inclusion, dialogue and trust
  • can offer a good physical, mental and aesthetic child environment both indoors and outdoors
  • is prepared to open their home as part of a public offer and has their family’s backing for it
  • sees, understands and acts on the differences between children and parents
  • is reflective, curious and passionate about the development of small children
  • is willing to continually acquire new knowledge and develop as a day-care provider

We offer

  • a dynamic daily life with plenty of golden moments of meeting
  • an organization developing in the area of young children
  • professional sparring and close cooperation with colleagues, resource center staff and management
  • a good workplace where you contribute to a healthy and positive work environment, characterized by good humor, flexibility and a learning-oriented approach

The work as a day-care provider takes place in your own home, which serves as the child’s base. It requires that the settings both indoors and outdoors are suitable and can be approved as a day-care home. You create your own work environment and have opening hours of 48 hours per week, which provides a flexible and lively everyday life where relationships, routines and presence are central.

To be considered, your home must be approved as a day-care home. You will therefore be contacted shortly after we have received your application. Interviews will only be held with candidates whose homes can be approved. A child and criminal record check will be obtained for the applicant as well as a child check for the spouse/partner and for live-in children over 15 years old.

The expected salary range will be provided at the first interview. The final salary is determined based on your qualifications and previous work experience and after concrete negotiation with the relevant professional association.

Does that sound like something for you?
