A permanent teaching position at the Special Center East at Spjald School

Are you a trained teacher and passionate about teaching, including mathematics, then this position may be for you? At the special center we have a full-time position ready to be filled as of January 1, 2027. We can use a teacher who is ready to teach the school's students at Special Center East, but perhaps also would like to have hours in the regular school.

We value your relational competencies and general flair for motivating the department's students regardless of their age.

Special Center East is a special provision located at Spjald School. The provision targets pupils from grade 0 to 10 with special needs to such an extent that they cannot follow the ordinary teaching at a local district school in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality.

The standard subjects of the Danish primary school are taught with a predominant focus on Danish, mathematics and English, at a level matched to the pupil's Zone of Proximal Development. In parallel with class teaching, the instruction is supplemented with more hours for activities and practical subjects.

At Special Center East our vision is that the students should become life-capable. We will teach them so that they are ready for life here and now, but also prepared for adult life. The teaching takes as its starting point the individual student's zone of proximal development and is planned resource-oriented in smaller groups with a fixed structure and clear expectations. We work closely with the family and relevant external partners.

Spjald School presents itself as very modern and up-to-date in terms of technology and learning environments. We are close to green areas and a sports center with a swimming pool.

Attached to the school is one of the municipality's three special centers – Special Center East, as well as after-school care/club, kindergarten and day care workers.
