About the job
Administrative Leadership Partner for the Leadership Secretariat, AUH
Are you motivated by creating an overview in a busy daily life, do you have strong organizational and process understanding and are good at collaboration and coordination? As an Administrative Leadership Partner (ALP) for the Health and Hospital Management at AUH you will have a central role in supporting the management at one of Denmark's largest university hospitals. You will become a close sparring partner for the directors and contribute to the daily operations, planning and follow-up functioning optimally.
You are involved in translating the management's decisions into action and ensuring that tasks are driven to completion safely across the organisation.
The job
In the role as ALP you will gain a unique insight into the leadership of a large and complex organisation. You come close to the strategic decisions and priorities that matter for patients, employees and the hospital's partners.
The position gives you a substantial responsibility, and we trust that you will plan the tasks according to what serves the directors’ workday best. You will also be part of a Leadership Secretariat with several professional areas and task portfolios, where we work closely together, share knowledge and help each other.
Through the position you will have broad contact across the organisation and good opportunities to build relationships with leaders, key people and the Hospital Staff. At the same time you will gain insight into the hospital's strategic work and the opportunity to contribute directly to making everyday work efficient.
As an ALP you support the overall Health and Hospital leadership. Together with a strategic Leadership Partner you have a special responsibility for 2 directors, for whom you will be a daily sparring partner. But we work together as a team around the 6 directors in the Health and Hospital leadership and carry out tasks across them.
Responsibilities
As an ALP you will be a central part of AUH's new Leadership Secretariat. You work closely with members of the Health and Hospital leadership and have a key role in translating the leadership's priorities into action. You create overview, ensure coordination across the organisation, drive follow-up on decisions and contribute to important initiatives and deliverables being completed safely. You think several steps ahead and ensure that the directors' time is used where it creates the most value.
You take an interest in the development of the health service and want to delve into the strategic topics that shape the hospital's work. As you build insight into the directors' areas of responsibility, you are increasingly expected to be able to prioritise independently and assess which matters require special attention. You will be entrusted with substantial responsibility and expected gradually to act on behalf of the directors in daily coordination and prioritisation.
Your tasks include, among others
- Coordination and prioritisation of the directors' inboxes and to some extent calendars with a focus on long-term planning and flexible handling of changes.
- Collection, assessment and quality assurance of decision bases, information and other material for the directors.
- Preparation of meetings and follow-up on decisions and agreements so they are translated into concrete actions and progress is made.
- Dialogue with leaders and employees across the organisation with a view to coordination, preparation, follow-up and information gathering.
- Participation in planning and coordination of meetings, events, conferences and visits.
- Contribute to the administrative and coordinating tasks handled in the Leadership Secretariat.
About you
We envision that you have solid experience from a role as PA, executive secretary or similar function, where you have supported a top management. You work independently, take initiative and have a natural ability to understand a director's needs and translate them into action.
You are strong at planning and coordinating and manage to create overview, systematisation and structure that others can act upon. Experience from the health sector is an advantage but not a requirement.
In addition we emphasise that you
- Are collaborative, service-oriented and good at building trusting relationships.
- Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing and contribute with your own assessments.
- Have good judgement and handle confidential information with the necessary discretion.
- Thrive in working in a supporting function in an organisation with a high tempo and with many stakeholders and collaboration interfaces.
About us
The Leadership Secretariat consists of 8 employees, 1 student assistant and a new secretariat manager from 1 January 2027. We emphasise a professional but informal working environment with high trust and a good tone. There is room for both professional ambitions, sparring, humor and collegial togetherness. We are currently in the process of a new alignment of task distribution in the Leadership Secretariat, where we no longer have chief secretaries as the closest supporters to the directors.
Instead we have Administrative Leadership Partners and Strategic Leadership Partners (SLP), who in close collaboration provide this support. While SLP primarily works with development and strategic initiatives, ALP focuses on daily leadership support, coordination and execution of the leadership's priorities. The ALP role combines classic secretarial skills with a strong focus on leadership support, execution and cross-functional collaboration.
SLP and especially ALP also participate in close task sharing with the cross-functional support partners, who have specialist tasks as their primary focus.
Salary and employment terms
Employment from 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Employment is 37 hours/week distributed over all weekdays.
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Application deadline and interviews
We look forward to receiving your application no later than 18.11.26. We will conduct interviews on Friday 20.11.26 in the morning.
For information, there is also advertised a position as a cross-functional support partner, who is also expected to be appointed 01.01.27.
If you have questions about the position
You are welcome to contact the function manager Ellen Bro Jeppesen at: [email protected] or team coordinator in the Leadership Secretariat Dorte Dalhoff at: [email protected]
