About the job

Would you like to help ensure that the facilities we build in the city can also be operated in the future? Do you have a handle on numbers, systems and follow-up, and can you create an overview of tasks across disciplines?

So perhaps you are our new colleague.

About the job

We are looking for a structured and systematic administrative employee for a newly established position, where you will play a central role in ensuring that the municipality's new facilities also function in operation. This includes, among others, parks, roads, squares and climate adaptation facilities.

You will have particular responsibility for coordinating the operation of co-financing projects, where the municipality collaborates with external parties, e.g., HOFOR. At the same time, you should help develop good workflows and tools so that we get control of operational tasks, finances and learning from the facilities we take over.

Your main tasks

You will act as the link between our operations units, financial function and other departments. Your tasks will mainly be in three areas:

Derived/Indirect operations

  • develop workflows for calculating derived/indirect operating costs in collaboration with the department's other units
  • handle cases on the calculation and financing of derived/indirect operating costs
  • coordinate with the finance functions and other departments on calculations and budgets
  • develop and maintain systems for calculating derived/indirect operating costs, including updating unit prices
  • collaborate with professional specialists on the calculations

Co-financing projects

  • coordinate and follow up on operating agreements with external parties
  • ensure that operating tasks and responsibilities are distributed among relevant operations units
  • follow up on that operating tasks are carried out and recorded correctly, so the work can be invoiced
  • keep track of recurring operating tasks and tasks requiring special knowledge or planning
  • collect experiences from operations and create an overview of problems and tasks that need follow-up
  • prepare and hold status meetings as well as follow up on agreements and decisions

Other administrative tasks

  • maintain an overview of projects and tasks
  • handle administrative tasks, e.g., mailbox handling and follow-up on inquiries

We imagine that you

  • have an HK professional background and thrive with administrative and coordinating tasks
  • are good with numbers, lists and systems and have an eye for detail without losing the overview
  • work structurally and follow tasks through to completion
  • can collaborate with many different professional groups and create progress across departments
  • are curious about what the numbers cover and want to understand the professional tasks behind them
  • want to develop and improve systems, workflows and tools that make everyday life easier and task solving better

You do not need to be a specialist in climate adaptation or operation of technical facilities. The most important thing is that you have a sense of structure, numbers and coordination and a willingness to learn a new professional area.

About us

You will become part of the Cleaning, Emergency Response and City Space unit under City Nature and Cleaning in Copenhagen Municipality's Climate, Environment and Technology Administration. We are about 20 employees with diverse professional backgrounds, working with, among other things, the development of cleaning in the city, the transition from construction projects to operation, emergency responses, as well as maintenance and renovation of buildings and facilities in particular of the city's green areas.

We offer a position with the opportunity to shape the tasks and develop workflows in close collaboration with colleagues across the administration.

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms follow the current HK agreement. The position is 37 hours per week with work location at Njalsgade 17 and the possibility of home working.

The position is a project role, initially running for three years. Start date January 1, 2027.

More information

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Unit Manager Ulrich French at 24 65 68 36 or Landscape Architect Christian Kjøller at 24 42 82 23.

Apply via the link no later than Wednesday 18 November 2026
