About the job

Do you have experience with HR operations from a public organization – or are you ready for a steep learning curve? And do you want to help develop a new Corporate HR, while we are also busy with HR operations?

Then you have the opportunity to apply for an exciting position as administrative staff in Corporate HR in the Ministry of Social Security and Emergency Preparedness.

About the Ministry of Social Security and Emergency Preparedness

The Ministry of Social Security and Emergency Preparedness, in close cooperation with the responsible sectors, is responsible for preventing, resisting and handling major accidents, crises, disasters and other incidents that challenge the society's fundamental functions – whether it is cyberattacks, sabotage, espionage or extreme weather events. The ambition is to align preparedness, crisis management and resilience across sectors, so our society stands stronger – in everyday life and during crises.

The ministry consists of the department and two professional agencies: The Agency for Civil Security and Emergency Preparedness Agency.

Your role and your tasks

In the ministry's new Corporate HR we will support the entire ministerial area. We are in an exciting development phase, where we are building Corporate HR while we contribute to the build of the organizations we support. We expect Corporate HR to include about 40 employees, who will be organizationally anchored in the department.

You will be part of our administrative team, where you will initially have 3 dedicated colleagues, but which is still growing.

We are looking for a new colleague who, among other things, will be tasked with

  • Answer inquiries from employees and managers in a shared HR mailbox.
  • Create new employees in the state’s HR (SHR) and send employment letters.
  • Manage our time registration system (mTime).
  • Support salary negotiations with salary information and preparation of salary letters.
  • Perform payroll control.
  • Manage changes in employment terms.
  • Administer leave, honorarium and travel allowance, as well as payment of overtime, jubilee gratuities, compensation for inconvenience, etc.
  • Prepare data for use in management information.

In addition, you will participate in the ongoing work to map and streamline our processes in Corporate HR. You will have close collaboration with the rest of the employees in Corporate HR. Our goal is to have a good common working environment where we help each other with both development and operations, and where it should be fun to go to work.

About you

You have a relevant education, e.g., as a clerical worker, professional bachelor or similar. You can be newly graduated, but ideally you have a couple of years of experience from a similar position in a government organization.

We also value that you

  • Are structured and can keep an overview when there are many tasks at the same time.
  • Are service-minded and accommodating.
  • Can translate knowledge into process descriptions.
  • Have experience with government payroll and HR systems.
  • Are thorough and have an eye for detail.
  • Want to engage in close collaboration with your colleagues, and meet everyone with a good mood.

Knowledge of employment terms, including wage placement, in the state is an advantage but not a requirement.

In addition, you must be able to thrive in a daily life that rarely looks like you planned.

Employment terms

Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the relevant collective agreement, e.g., organizational agreement for HK and OAO joint collective agreement.

The position is full-time.

Expected start date is 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
