Head of Department of the Outreach Kindergarten Riiset

Department head sought for our off-site kindergarten 🌿 Do you want to lead a kindergarten where nature, presence and strong communities are an important part of everyday life? Imagine a workday where children play in the forest, fires are made, and where nature is a natural part of the pedagogical work.

We are looking for a department head who wants to help create the framework for exactly that – and at the same time lead a daily life with professionalism, structure and strong child communities.

🌿 A four-day work week – with one day off once a week.

Riiset is a self-governing integrated institution in Bellahøj with 42 toddlers and 34 preschool children. We have both a nursery and an off-site kindergarten, and we are now seeking a department head for our off-site department in Fredensborg.

A leadership role close to children, staff and daily life As department head you will have an important role in the everyday life of the off-site kindergarten.

We imagine that you have solid pedagogical experience and preferably leadership experience. You can create overview and structure, work independently and thrive being close to both staff, children and the pedagogical practice.

You are calm and clear in your leadership, eager to take responsibility and can create direction and good frameworks, while being listening and open to staff perspectives and ideas.

Our staff group consists of both long-tenured employees and those newer to the field. As a leader you will have the opportunity to support different competencies and experiences and help create a strong shared professional foundation.

You will become part of a leadership team with close sparring and collaboration. I myself have many years of leadership experience and will be a close sparring partner for you in daily life.

Welcome to our off-site kindergarten 🌿 Every morning we meet in Bellahøj, where the bus leaves at 08:15 to our off-site kindergarten in Fredensborg.

Around 09:00 we arrive, hold a gathering and enjoy some fruit and vegetables before the day really begins.

Our off-site life offers

• A large and varied natural area with private forest, hills, scrub and plenty of space
• Opportunities for fires, trips, outdoor life and creative activities
• Good conditions both indoors and outdoors
• A cook, Rikke, who every day treats children and adults to good, homemade food
• A rhythm that provides calm, presence and time for quality

We are back in Bellahøj at 14:30 on Mondays and Fridays and at 15:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Professionalism, community and space for ideas At Riiset we prioritize the work environment, professionalism and well-being – for both children and adults.

We believe in leadership that is close to the staff, listens and creates room for dialogue and development. We have structured performance reviews, and there should be room for ideas, questions and different perspectives.

As department head you will have the opportunity to put your own mark on the pedagogical development.

Perhaps you are passionate about nature and outdoor life, music, motor skills, cooking over fires or creative activities. We would like to give space to your professional interests and ideas.

We would like you to have leadership experience. If you have already held a leadership role, that would be a clear advantage because you will quickly be able to take responsibility for both staff, pedagogy and daily operations.

At the same time we are curious about you if you have solid pedagogical experience, a good organizational overview and a desire to take responsibility.
